Hello to all my CineTV friends. After watching the movie titled Sultan, I knew for the countless number of times that love is above everything.
I was just scrolling through Netflix a few days ago and saw a movie titled, Sultan. Then, I remembered that there is one particular person who told me about this movie sometime ago and I decided to give it a watch.

Sultan centers around what people do for love. Also, it talks about a man who gave up on his career but found an opportunity to take it up again. This means that it’s never too late to be whoever and whatever you want to be.

Movie Plot

Sultan, a middle aged wrestler settles his lonely life in the area of Rewari. Mr Patel, the father of Aakash implores Aakash to travel to Rewari so as to recruit Sultan. On getting to Rewari, Sultan bluntly refuses his offer on recruiting him but something happened.

Sultan meets with Aarfa, a female wrestler and a daughter of a wrestling coach and falls in love with her but he didn’t have what she wanted. Aarfa wanted a well trained wrestler and due to love, Sultan picked up his wrestling career again and the lovers were doing well with their career.

Sadly, Sultan leaves Aarfa who was eight months pregnant to win a gold medal in Turkey. Aarfa gives birth to the child who suffered from Anaemia and died.
At last, Sultan reconciled with his wife after series of events and they gave birth to a new baby girl whom Sultan trains as a wrestler.

Sometimes, I wonder if two people pursuing the same career can get married but it looks like that can actually happen. Just like Sultan and Aarfa, I think one thing which made their love to continue to wax stronger despite the challenge they have was because they have the same career.

But, there is something I don’t like about the movie. I feel Aarfa heart is too soft. If I put myself in such position, I would have waited for Sultan to come beg me so things can work well between us again but instead, Aarfa shows up at the hospital where Sultan landed after winning the fight and motivates him to keep fighting.
Well, that taught me something that we have to make peace. That was just the best way to end the marital issues they had. In the end, we don’t always have to pay evil for evil. We can always make peace. What I didn’t like about the movie became the greatest lesson to me.

At the same time, this movie has a great influence on me. Normally, when I don’t get to talk to my man, all I ever think of is him going away with another woman. That’s what Aarfa must have thought but that’s not it. He was busy fighting for a prize. Well, he didn’t do the right thing. He wasn’t supposed to leave his wife all to focus on a prize.

I just think it is necessary to ask questions in relationships instead of jumping into conclusion. This is a movie that may require you to compare your marital life or dating life to it.

I didn’t regret watching it and I’ll give it a 8.5/10 rating. When you watch it, you will surely enjoy it.
