Películas de terror de los 90
Los 90 nos deleitaron con buen cine, anteriormente he compartido algunas películas buenas de dicha década, pero esta vez deseo enfocarme en específico en un género, el de terror, debo confesar que aunque este no es mi género favorito, ya quien soy una cobarde, sé que muchos disfrutan de series y películas de este tipo, aquí les dejó algunas películas de terror de los 90 por ser #ninetiesfriday
Drácula de Bram Stoker (1992)
De Drácula hay mil películas y abran mil más, pero esta es una, si no es que la más famosa, con un maquillaje, vestuario, escenografía y más de primera, al punto de que hasta algunas menciones a la misma se realizan en otras películas como por ejemplo en Hotel Transilvania 2 cuando Jony pide un disfraz de vampiro y justamente coincide con el de Drácula de esta película.
Su reparto fabuloso, fue formado Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves, Richard E. Grant, Anthony Hopkins y Monica Bellucci, entre otros. Fue ganadora de cuatro premios Óscar en 1993.
Frankenstein de Mary Shelley (1994)
De este personaje también hay muchas películas o apariciones del mismo en otras películas, pero esta es una de las películas que más éxito tuvo, su trama muy detallada y ambientada en lo lúgubre, el cual nos permite ver claramente la inconformidad de alguien que aun teniendo muchas cosas se obsesiona con vencer a la muerte y tras lograr la creación de su criatura desata una cantidad de tragedias para él y todos los que ama. Algunas de sus escenas son bastante crudas y el monstruo de Frankenstein tiene el aspecto de un delincuente, pero lo que desea es la aceptación de su creador y no estar solo. De esta película también destaca su reparto Roberts de Niro, Kenneth Branagh, Helena Bonham Carter, Ian Holm, John Cleese y Aidan Quinn entre otros.
La Nueva Pesadilla de Wes Craven (1994)
En esta lista no pude faltar una película donde este presente al famoso Freddy Krueger, que nos asustaba desde los 80, pero en esta oportunidad la película tiene un toque diferente, ya que su trama se centra en que los actores originales de Pesadilla en la calle del infierno vuelven a reunirse con el propósito de filmar la última entrega de la saga, así comienzan una serie de muertes las cuales son vistas primero en las pesadillas de Heather, la chica que encarnaba a Nancy, una película al mejor estilo de su primera entrega que no decepciona a lo que aman las películas en las que aparece este personaje de terror, cuyo aspecto es para asustar a cualquiera.
El proyecto de la bruja de Blair (1999)
Esta película no la he visto porque como ya mencioné, soy una cobarde y solo logro ver pocas películas de este género, pero esta la escuche nombrar mucho por amigos y conocidos, la trama de esta película se centra en un grupo tres personas que entraron en un bosque de Maryland, su propósito era rodar un documental sobre una leyenda local, "La bruja de Blair". No se volvió a saber de ellos. Pero un año después, fue encontrada la cámara con la que rodaron; en la grabación se mostraban los terroríficos hechos que dieron lugar a su desaparición.
Así termina este #ninetiesfriday dedicado al cine, especialmente al género terror.
The 90s delighted us with great cinema. I have previously shared some good films from that decade, but this time I want to focus specifically on one genre: horror. I must confess that although this is not my favorite genre, since I am a coward, I know that many people enjoy series and films of this type. Here are some horror films from the 90s for #ninetiesfriday.
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
There are a thousand movies about Dracula and a thousand more to come, but this one is one of the most famous, if not the most famous, with top-notch makeup, costumes, set design, and more, to the point that it is even mentioned in other movies, such as Hotel Transylvania 2, when Johnny asks for a vampire costume and it happens to be the same one as Dracula's in this movie.

There are also many films featuring this character or appearances in other films, but this is one of the most successful films, with a very detailed plot set in a gloomy atmosphere, which allows us to clearly see the dissatisfaction of someone who, despite having many things, is obsessed with defeating death and, after creating his creature, unleashes a series of tragedies for himself and all those he loves. Some of the scenes are quite graphic, and Frankenstein's monster looks like a criminal, but what he wants is the acceptance of his creator and not to be alone. The film also features an outstanding cast, including Robert De Niro, Kenneth Branagh, Helena Bonham Carter, Ian Holm, John Cleese, and Aidan Quinn, among others.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
This list would not be complete without a film featuring the famous Freddy Krueger, who has been scaring us since the 1980s, but this time the film has a different twist, as the plot focuses on the original actors from A Nightmare on Elm Street reuniting to film the latest installment of the saga. thus beginning a series of deaths that are first seen in the nightmares of Heather, the girl who played Nancy. This film is in the style of the first installment and does not disappoint fans of films featuring this terrifying character, whose appearance is enough to scare anyone.
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
I haven't seen this movie because, as I mentioned, I'm a coward and can only watch a few movies of this genre, but I've heard it mentioned a lot by friends and acquaintances. The plot of this movie centers on a group of three people who entered a forest in Maryland with the purpose of filming a documentary about a local legend, “The Blair Witch.” They were never heard from again. But a year later, the camera they used to film was found; the recording showed the terrifying events that led to their disappearance.
And so ends this #ninetiesfriday dedicated to cinema, especially the horror genre.
