That is certainly a persuasive review. It prompted me to start a free trial subscription for Kino Films on Amazon Prime. Seven days to watch this and any other interesting films Kino has to offer.

I love to hear that! Not so much that you signed up for some platform, just to see one movie (even if it is a highly recommendable one, which I recommended, nonetheless...) but that you got so excited about it.

I love offbeat movies. I am a history buff, so the setting is ideal for me. Should be fun, and interesting.

I hope you enjoy it. Though in this movie it's more about story than history, but you'll see what I mean when you watch it.

Wow!

As I watched I thought of Fellini. I thought of Brecht. I thought of Faulkner. I was dismayed, and riveted. I did not find the film enjoyable in the sense that one has a good time in watching a movie. Forget about that. It was a memorable, fascinating trip I could not turn away from.

And yes, it is about history, but about all history. About war, and all war. About folly and and self-delusion. It is also an ode to the idea of Yugoslavia.

Boy, you can see I was impressed. Thanks. How did I miss this movie all these years??

I am sure you be getting a lot of fun. There are some bite notes ofc (it is life!) but amount of absurdist carnaval and laught is much more.
