First post on Hive Alex-Film #introduction

Hi all,

My name is Aleksandar Milenkovic and im a award winning Film and TV editor. You probably know me from projects like: @Freechain where im working as the Film editor and Executive producer with @little.lamb @lordbutterfly @mrruin, or @DNSMedia where im working as a post-production Supervisor ,or maybe from @hiverally.com , all super cool projects that are making a difference here on Hive for the community.

So now i guess i can jump on why im posting here and whats my goal. Well my goal is pretty simple i would like to start a Film niche here on Hive, and make a group with all the people that are interested in process of making Videos, Movies, Music Videos, Youtube Videos or whatever content you like.

I will probably share some of my projects here with you and show you my workflow, esspecialy on long forms like Feature Films or Feature Documentary's im working on. So you can better undarstand the whole creative and technical aspects of making something for the audience.

As you can see im working in Adobe Master collection programs, so Premiere and Affter Effects are my bread and butter. I do work in DaVinci Resolve aswell when im doing color correction or when im making Proxy's for a bigger project.

And here is a timeline of a new feature movie im doing with French Montana and Chris Brown ( the ultra popular singers ), its an action movie so alot of blood and shooting going on:

Im blessed to work on so much great projects, that i would love to share with you my knowledge about movie and tv and listen to your oppinions and knowledge about the same topic. If you are interested in breaking down some of the scenes, and me talking about the creative and technical process behind the cut let me know.

For end of this post i would like to add couple of words for the invisible art of editing, if you are an editor or just starting to learn what editing is you must be prepared to take the Support role on your shoulders, and prepare to get a little praise for your work.
Editing in right manner means helping others to be better in the video starting from Director, Camera, Actors and everyone involved in the project, your main goal is to make them: look better, more professional, enhance their perfomances and hide the mistakes they make.
On top of that you have to see the bigger picture and know when to tighten it up and when to let it breath. You should be the most objective person working on the project, and give your best to fix all the mistakes that are made on the set.
Because you are the last line of defense before exporting and showing your work to the world.
Being an filmmaker is not easy, but it gives you so much satisfaction after a job well done, to all my fellow filmmakers and content creators out there keep your heads high and keep doing an awesome job.

Great to see you drop in. :)

Lets find you a community to get involved with. Thats a good way to start off.
@acidyo curates most of these communities and @rubencress might know a few good ones since hes one of our "creative" types on Hive.
Theyre my go to guys when it comes to content on Hive. Im pretty useless in that regard. hehe.
