My experience working with famous people

So as you can see i would like to talk about my experience working with famous people, being an film and tv editor for over a decade now i had the luck to work with some super popular brands and people like:

Paco Rabbane, Doncafe, Pokerstars, TIK-TOK, Palmolive, Citroen, Adidas, Carolina Herrera etc.

and work with some known names in this world like:

Neymar JR, Ant and Deck, French Montana, Chris Brown, Dragan Jovanovic etc.

One that all this brands and people have in common is professionality, i never worked with more professional and kind people than these. Famous people have more respect for your work and appriciate you more when you are on their team. Most of time you get couple of minutes to talk to them true the whole projects (Ant and Deck, French Montana)

and sometimes you talk just to their manager or PR (Neymar JR).

And some of them are like more of ,,control freeks" and love the whole process from start to end (Chris Brown).

So for French and Ant and Deck there is one thing in common, they love their projects and they want it to be as best as it can. They are trying to make free time to be involved into every projects they are in, but as it always is with this kind of people, they are involved in multiple projects simultaneously having very little time to give you and to the project.

French communicate true SpiffTV (super popular Mexican Director) they are homies and they are constantly on the phone making new music videos, so its just natural for him to send all the info true his friend and director. But from my 10 minutes with French when we had a talk about the project and first hand of the edit, i truly felt like he tottaly was in our conversation and gave his 100% mind on that, very professional and good person, the 10 minutes were filled with all the things he likes in the movie, and how we need to add more Cuba into the movie (thats his homie who Acted in this movie, and saddly passed away couple of days ago), so it was more like you are talking with a normal person than a guy who had 1,5 billion views on his music videos. He is a guy who stands with both feets on the ground and i have just respect for him.

Ant and Deck as we all know, they are doing milions of projects a year in Great Britan and all their feedbacks came from the producer of this commercial, they made a call when we finished everything just to give me heads up and tell me they are very satisfied with my work and that the commercial gonna be a banger in UK. Well i guess thats ok too, some of them never take 5 minutes of their time to thank you for your services, so it meant alot for me personaly and as for French i had a feeling they were in that moment 100% so big thumbs up for those guys, they are awesome.

Neymar JR well... Neymar is another kind of animal, you wont get from him a minute unless you find him in CS:GO match i guess :) still his team was super cool and responsive, they didnt make any drama or made me feel like im working for the one of the biggest athlets on this planet. It was just another day and another commercial for them, you can feel from their responses that they did alot of those projects in the past, so it all went smoothly.

Chris Brown ... oh man ... where do i start? Well as for Chris before this project i knew he was making music, and probably as we all know him i knew he hit Rihanna, so thats the only things i knew about him. Never was a fan of his music but still knew he is around for sometime and he is popular over the sea. His team and him send you a Contract every time you finish a scene, so you need to send the scene to him and he needs to approve it. Anything he doesnt like or want to be changed by that contract you need and must to change it, or you cant use it in the movie. So having a musician tell you how to edit or fix the scene is not the best way to get the maximum out of the material. Producers and the director constantly call me to tell me how much pain in the ass he is and couple of times it was on edge to throw away all the scenes with him and edit the movie without him. But having that name on poster of the movie is always helpfull to sell it and make more money, thats why he is still in the movie and we need to handle it how we can.

For the end of this post i would like just to say, all of this is still unbelievable for me. Having the opportunity to work with those guys and brands is so freaking awesome and i cant adress enough how much im blessed.
Im not a big blogger myself but i hope i could show you a little glimpse of my professinal life with these kind of people. Till next post.

Peace out
Alex
