Las películas de Toy story formaron una parte muy importante de mi vida, la película 1 y 2 son las más icónicas para mí, las vi en VHS hace muchos años en un VHS de una amiga de mi infancia que nunca mas vi, yo no tenia ese aparato y siempre veía películas con ella en su casa, esa época era hermosa a pesar de que no tuve la mejor infancia en cuanto a mi entorno familiar, extraño muchas cosas de aquellos años… Toy story en su momento fue algo innovador, una animación casi realista para la época, se veía esplendido y es una película que repetí hasta el cansancio, la vi muchas veces incluso de adulta, mi hijo las vio y han pasado de generación en generación envejeciendo bastante bien, pero debo confesar que llego a un punto donde muchos pensamos: “las películas de Toy story deben parar” porque sacaron la parte 3, 4 y ahora la 5! Realmente no le hacia falta mas partes, algunas se sintieron forzadas. Ni siquiera recuerdo la trama de la 4 porque realmente no me gusto. Pero, ayer vimos la 5 y sin ningún tipo de expectativa me termino gustando bastante.
The Toy Story movies were a very important part of my life. Movies 1 and 2 are the most iconic for me. I watched them on VHS many years ago on a VHS tape belonging to a childhood friend I never saw again. I didn't have a VCR myself, and I always watched movies with her at her house. That time was wonderful, even though I didn't have the best childhood in terms of my family environment. I miss many things from those years… Toy Story was groundbreaking at the time, with almost realistic animation for the era. It looked splendid, and it's a movie I watched countless times, even as an adult. My son watched them, and they've been passed down from generation to generation, aging quite well. But I must confess that it reached a point where many of us thought, "The Toy Story movies should stop," because they released parts 3, 4, and now 5! It really didn't need more installments; some felt forced. I don't even remember the plot of the fourth one because I really didn't like it. But yesterday we watched the 5th one and without any expectations I ended up liking it quite a lot.

Porque en esta película no solo toman este tema de la tecnología reemplazando los juguetes que es bastante real, sino que tambien nos dejan un cierre a una herida que en ese entonces dolía bastante y es la historia de Jessie y Emily. Yo de chiquita lloraba cuando Jessie contaba su historia y sonaba aquella canción triste, mi corazón se arrugaba… Y esta entrega de toy story siento que fue totalmente de Jessie, esta vez ella se pierde (esta fórmula es repetitiva, si, pero al menos todo termino siendo para cerrar el ciclo de Emily) Ella logra hacer que Bonnie finalmente consiga una amiga real y ella prácticamente resuelve todo
Because this movie not only addresses the very real theme of technology replacing toys, but it also provides closure to a wound that was quite painful back then: the story of Jessie and Emily. As a child, I would cry when Jessie told her story and that sad song played; my heart would ache… And this Toy Story installment feels entirely about Jessie. This time, she gets lost (yes, this formula is repetitive, but at least it all ended up closing Emily's storyline). She manages to help Bonnie finally find a real friend, and she practically resolves everything.

Y esto resulto en que algunos personajes icónicos fueran opacados, no vemos mucho al cerdito ni a los demás juguetes. La incorporación de la tecnología en esta entrega al principio pensé que seria algo tonto pero funciono bastante bien, me gusto la trama en general y como al final todo logra encajar perfectamente sin tener que eliminar ni los juguetes ni la tecnología, conocemos personajes nuevos pero simpáticos.
This resulted in some iconic characters being overshadowed; we don't see much of the pig or the other toys. At first, I thought the incorporation of technology in this installment would be silly, but it worked quite well. I liked the overall plot and how everything ultimately fits together perfectly without having to eliminate either the toys or the technology. We also meet new, but endearing, characters.

Que Emily le pusiera el nombre de Jessie a su hija me rompió el corazón por poco casi lloro, es como cerrar una herida de la infancia jaja, parecerá tonto pero enserio me encanto ese detalle… La película es divertida y con una animación increíble, cada vez se ve mejor pero sinceramente ahora si espero que esta sea la ultima entrega, Toy story es muy buena para que la sigan exprimiendo de esta forma, creo que es una historia que debería terminar aquí y seguir siendo historia con cada una de sus entregas que estoy segura que seguirán siendo vistas por futuras generaciones ya que es una película demasiado buena.
Emily naming her daughter Jessie broke my heart; I almost cried. It's like closing a childhood wound, haha. It might sound silly, but I really loved that detail. The movie is fun and has incredible animation; it just keeps getting better. But honestly, I really hope this is the last installment. Toy Story is too good to keep milking it like this. I think it's a story that should end here and continue to be a story with each new installment, which I'm sure will be watched by future generations because it's such a great movie.
