Primate es una película con escenas muy bizarras y gore, algo que de verdad no esperaba es que fuese tan impactante visualmente, pero me sorprendió bastante incluso la vi con mi esposo y mi hijo pero como no tenia conocimiento de lo grotesca que era estuve tapándole los ojos a mi hijo el 70% de la película jaja. Mi curiosidad por esta película surgió por ver el tráiler un día navegando por TikTok y finalmente logre verla. No es una película que podría convertirse en mi favorita pero si entretiene y trauma un poco.
Primate is a film with very bizarre and gory scenes. Something I really didn't expect was that it would be so visually shocking, but it surprised me quite a bit. I even watched it with my husband and son, but since I had no idea how grotesque it was, I spent 70% of the movie covering my son's eyes, haha. My curiosity about this movie was piqued when I saw the trailer one day while browsing TikTok, and I finally got to see it. It's not a movie that could become my favorite, but it is entertaining and a little traumatic.
Esta película nos muestra las vacaciones a HAWAII de un grupo de amigos, el lugar donde se quedan es precioso y tienen una vista increíble, piscina, en fin, de todo. La cosa se pone grave cuando llega la noche y comienzan a notar que “BEN” un chimpancé adoptado esta actuando de una manera extraña, Ben se convierte en el verdugo de estos chicos al volverse sumamente agresivo por que contrajo rabia.
This film shows us a group of friends on vacation in HAWAII. The place where they are staying is beautiful and has an incredible view, a swimming pool, everything. Things take a turn for the worse when night falls and they begin to notice that “BEN,” an adopted chimpanzee, is acting strangely. Ben becomes the boys' tormentor, turning extremely aggressive because he has contracted rabies.

Es una trama ingeniosa me parece que nunca he visto una película con esta trama, asi que por esa parte gano puntos conmigo. Creo que lo único que podría criticar de la película es la poca habilidad de supervivencia de los protagonistas y lo rápido que van muriendo, llegando a ser el chimpancé mucho mas agiles que ellos. Aunque a veces pienso que quizás si yo estuviese en esa situación actuara igual o peor, ya que durante mi vida me he visto envuelta en situaciones bastante peligrosas y normalmente suelo paralizarme. Y bueno, no se que pensar al final sobre la poca reacción de las personas que aparecen en esta película.
It's an ingenious plot; I don't think I've ever seen a movie with this plot, so it scores points with me in that regard. I think the only thing I could criticize about the movie is the protagonists' lack of survival skills and how quickly they die, with the chimpanzee being much more agile than them. Although sometimes I think that if I were in that situation, I might act the same or worse, since I've been in some pretty dangerous situations in my life and I usually freeze up. And well, I don't know what to think in the end about the lack of reaction from the people who appear in this movie.

Como les comenté, no esperaba ver escenas tan graficas y en algunas ocasiones fue tan inesperado que quedamos en shock jaja, pero realmente a mi me encantan las cosas asi sangrientas, gore y turbias, asi que me gusto bastante. Hay muertes muy horribles y un final casi épico donde el personaje que menos oportunidad tenia de sobrevivir logro salvar el día.
As I mentioned, I wasn't expecting to see such graphic scenes, and at times it was so unexpected that we were shocked, haha, but I really love bloody, gory, and disturbing things, so I enjoyed it quite a bit. There are some very gruesome deaths and an almost epic ending where the character who had the least chance of surviving managed to save the day.
