Don't waste your time watching Night shift

Hace unas semanas vi el trailer de una película llamada “Turno nocturno” se veía bastante interesante pero a la vez leí los comentarios de este trailer y note mucha gente diciendo cosas malas de esta película, entre estos comentarios pude notar que esta película tenia un trasfondo, resulta que esta inspirada en una leyenda urbana de México y eso me hizo interesarme un poco más a pesar de los malos comentarios quería darle una oportunidad y sinceramente me arrepiento jajaja. El cine latino no es mi favorito ya que la mayoría de veces no puedo tomármelo enserio ya sea por la actuación que deja mucho que desear o los efectos de tan bajo presupuesto que se pueden ver en algunas producciones, no digo que todas sean malas, pero hablo desde mi experiencia donde la mayoría de cine de este lado del mundo para mi es… aburrido hoy esta película confirma una vez más esta teoría.

A few weeks ago I saw the trailer of a movie called “Night Shift” it looked pretty interesting but at the same time I read the comments of this trailer and I noticed many people saying bad things about this movie, among these comments I could notice that this movie had a background, it turns out that it is inspired by an urban legend of Mexico and that made me a little more interested despite the bad comments I wanted to give it a chance and honestly I regret it hahaha. Latin cinema is not my favorite because most of the time I can't take it seriously either because of the acting that leaves much to be desired or the low budget effects that can be seen in some productions, I'm not saying that all of them are bad, but I speak from my experience where most of the movies from this side of the world for me is... boring today this movie confirms once again this theory.

Aunque en la actualidad hay muy pocas películas que genuinamente me gusten he quedado en total shock con esta película ya que ni siquiera cumplió el objetivo de distraerme, tenia ganas de quitarla e irme a dormir, me pareció muy aburrida, incoherente y realmente se despega de su historia original muchas veces, tuve que leer un poco sobre la historia en la que está basada la película para ver si al menos eso hicieron bien y pues la película no tiene nada que ver con la realidad y el montón de historias que hay sobre esta leyenda urbana.

Although nowadays there are very few movies that I genuinely like I have been in total shock with this movie since it didn't even fulfill the objective of distracting me, I felt like taking it out and going to sleep, I found it very boring, incoherent and it really takes off from its original story many times, I had to read a little about the story on which the movie is based to see if at least they did that well and the movie has nothing to do with reality and the many stories that there are about this urban legend.

La actuación a mi parecer fue terrible, nunca me sumergí en la historia ya que no pude creerme nada de lo que decían, la protagonista era muy extraña parecía un robot y en escenas un poco mas intensas si se notaba un nivel de actuación un poco mejor, sin embargo, para mi no sirve una actuación bien hecha de 2 minutos y luego volver a ser un completo vegetal.

The acting in my opinion was terrible, I never got immersed in the story as I could not believe anything they said, the protagonist was very strange, she looked like a robot and in scenes a little more intense you can noticed a level of acting a little better, however, for me it does not work a well done performance of 2 minutes and then go back to being a complete vegetable.

Y hablando de este personaje principal, nunca entendí porque ella se autolesiona, puedo entender que por su pasado llenos de traumas lo haga como una forma de castigarse o sentirse mejor, PERO… ¿Porque hacerlo en el hospital en frente de su casillero con un altar todo extraño e improvisado?? No entendí. Hasta el fantasma se asustaba cuando veia a esa mujer cortándose y se iba JAJAJA

And speaking of this main character, I never understood why she self-harms, I can understand that because of her past full of traumas she does it as a way to punish herself or feel better, BUT... Why do it in the hospital in front of her locker with a strange and improvised altar? I didn't get it. Even the ghost would freak out when she saw that woman cutting herself and leave HAHAHA.

En películas de terror buscamos asustarnos y esta película hace todo lo contrario, da risa y cringe, el fantasma esta tan caracterizado que solo parece un disfraz, los movimientos de esta entidad son CERO aterradores, su forma de caminar y mover las manos parece más bien una coreografía o un acto de circo, estuve pensando que quizás no funciona el hecho de que la entidad sea completamente visible y por eso no da miedo pero si pensamos un poco más hay películas donde podemos ver las entidades completamente como por ejemplo la monja y el maquillaje y las escenas estan tan bien hechas que si da miedo, te hacen saltar de tu asiento por un momento, pero este no es el caso.

In horror movies we seek to scare us and this movie does the opposite, it gives laughter and cringe, the ghost is so characterized that it just looks like a costume, the movements of this entity are ZERO scary, her way of walking and moving her hands seems more like a choreography or a circus act, I was thinking that maybe it doesn't work the fact that the entity is completely visible and that's why it's not scary but if we think a little bit more there are movies where we can see the entities completely like for example the nun and the makeup and the scenes are so well done that if it's scary, they make you jump out of your seat for a moment, but this is not the case.

Los efectos especiales… Meh… nada impresionante, un montón de sangre para satisfacer al público sádico, algo que me causo gracia es cuando la protagonista se auto lesiona, pues cada cortada suena como si estuvieran revolviéndole las tripas y realmente una cortada en la pierna con una hojilla no suena asi para nada jajaja. En algunas escenas tuvieron que colocar una luz neón fuerte para disimular un poco los efectos especiales tan malos y en otras no pudieron hacer lo mismo y toco ver escenas totalmente horribles.

The special effects... Meh... nothing impressive, a lot of blood to satisfy the sadistic audience, something that made me laugh is when the main character injures herself, because each cut sounds like they are churning her guts and really a cut in the leg with a blade doesn't sound like that at all hahaha. In some scenes they had to put a strong neon light to disguise the bad special effects and in others they couldn't do the same and I had to see totally horrible scenes.

Aquí dos fotos de las que tengo algo que decir, la primera es cuando la protagonista (que ni siquiera me tome la molesta de aprender su nombre) se mete dentro de su casillero en una especie de piel cosida con hilos y termina en “¿¡OTRA DIMENSION!?” esta parte me hizo recordar a Stranger Things por un momento pensé que Vecna saldría en alguna escena (wtf)

Here two pictures I have something to say about, the first one is when the main character (who I didn't even bother to learn her name) gets inside her locker in a kind of skin sewn with threads and ends up in “ANOTHER DIMENSION!?” this part reminded me of Stranger Things for a moment I thought Vecna was going to be in some scene (wtf).

Y la segunda es la muerte mas esperada de toda la película, creo que este fue el único actor que hizo un gran trabajo en la película y eso que no tenía demasiados diálogos solo cumplió con ser un hombre machista asqueroso y despreciable y lo hizo muy bien jajaja, pero todo se va abajo cuando vemos los efectos especiales de su muerte enserio… ¡Que feo! No pido que se vea completamente real pero tampoco tan falso jajaja

And the second one is the most expected death of the whole movie, I think this was the only actor who did a great job in the movie and that he didn't have too many dialogues he just fulfilled being a disgusting and despicable macho man and he did it very well hahaha, but everything goes down when we see the special effects of his death seriously... How ugly! I'm not asking for it to look completely real but not so fake either hahaha.

En fin, muy mala película es la peor que he visto en un tiempo, mi esposo y yo competíamos con ver quien se dormía primero viendo esta cosa, asi que si quieren echar una siesta pueden ver esta película en MAX

Anyway, very bad movie is the worst I've seen in a while, my husband and I competed with who fell asleep first watching this thing, so if you want to take a nap you can watch this movie on MAX.
