I rewatched a series I didn't like, but this time I did like it

American Horror Story is a very popular series with many seasons and different storylines. Each season is unique in its own way, and the best part is that each one contains references to real-life, disturbing events. I watched almost all of it about two years ago, and it helped me a lot to pass the time while I was drawing. However, I remember some seasons with very little fondness, so I decided to rewatch the entire series with my husband, hoping that I might see it from a different perspective.

And although I'm rewatching all the seasons, in this post I want to talk specifically about Asylum, the second season. When I watched it on my own, I didn't like it that much, but two years later, after analyzing it better, I loved it. It's a season with so many ideas in mind that it might overwhelm you a little, but at the same time, everything unfolds so well that you forget you're being overstimulated with information.

This season features demons, aliens, serial killers, a complex story where the perpetrator becomes the victim, good character development, and a spectacular ending. I can truly say it's the best season of this series.

This season, set in a psychiatric hospital where the care of the patients is quite cruel and often fatal, unfolds a story full of mysteries, murders, and people locked up against their will, living through a true hell. The acting is wonderful, and I highly recommend watching this series; not a single episode is boring, it's simply cinematic.
