I watched WEAPONS to find out if it was really bad

Hola a todos amigos, hoy les quiero hablar de la última película que tuve la oportunidad de ver una película de “terror” o mas bien suspenso llamada “WEAPONS” la cual en realidad no tenia muchas ganas de ver por la cantidad de publicidad que veía en TikTok de esta película, ya que como sabrán en estos tiempos muchos tiktokers utilizan su fama para recomendar infinidades de cosas que al final terminan siendo terribles, incluyendo películas o series. Me desanimo tambien ver algunos comentarios negativos de esta película pero finalmente, luego de pensarlo mucho decidí verla… Pensé: “De todas maneras he perdido mi tiempo viendo cosas peores” y bueno, para mi sorpresa la película me atrapo muy rápidamente y si me gusto bastante jajaja.

Hello everyone, today I want to talk about the last movie I had the opportunity to see, a “horror” or rather suspense movie called “WEAPONS,” which I really didn’t want to see because of the amount of advertising I saw on TikTok for this movie. As you know, these days, many TikTokers use their fame to recommend countless things that end up being terrible, including movies or series. I was also discouraged to see some negative comments about this movie, but finally, after thinking about it a lot, I decided to watch it… I thought, “Anyway, I’ve wasted my time watching worse things,” and well, to my surprise, the movie caught me very quickly and I really liked it, haha.

La película comienza con una narración donde nos cuentan que una clase entera (excepto un solo niño) desapareció en la madrugada. Todos los niños salieron de sus casas y nadie supo a donde iban. Un suceso muy extraño que termina desesperando a todos los padres y culpando a la maestra de ese salón, incluso creen que la maestra es una bruja.

The film begins with a narration telling us that an entire class (except for one child) disappeared in the middle of the night. All the children left their homes, and no one knew where they had gone. A very strange event ends up driving all the parents to despair, and they blame the teacher in that classroom. They even believe the teacher is a witch.

Y lo interesante de esta película es que me atrapo bastante rápido a pesar de no ser una película de terror donde te asustan cada 5 minutos, tenemos drama, suspenso, ciertas partes de horror e incluso momentos para reír. La historia se cuenta desde 6 puntos de vista diferentes y poco a poco te va haciendo entender que es lo que esta pasando y como todo se conecta entre sí.

And the interesting thing about this film is that it caught me pretty quickly, even though it's not a horror film where you get scared every five minutes. There's drama, suspense, some horror, and even laughable moments. The story is told from six different points of view, and little by little, it helps you understand what's happening and how everything connects.

No quiero dar demasiados detalles ya que es una de esas películas que es mejor ver sin saber todo lo que te espera, tampoco quiero decir que sea una película perfecta ni la mayor obra de arte que haya visto, pero si se sintió bastante bien ver una trama diferente sin saber que te espera para el siguiente acto. Aunque tiene algunos huecos de trama que pueden pasarse desapercibidos ya que la actuación es bastante buena y te hace olvidar de esos detalles, para mi es muy importante que me transmitan las verdaderas emociones y reacciones de una persona común ante tal situación y esta película lo hace muy bien.

I don't want to give too many details since it's one of those movies that's better to watch without knowing everything that awaits you. I don't want to say it's a perfect movie or the greatest work of art I've ever seen, but it did feel pretty good to see a different plot without knowing what awaits you in the next act. Although it has some plot holes that can be overlooked since the acting is quite good and makes you forget about those details, it's very important to me that it conveys the true emotions and reactions of an average person in such a situation, and this movie does that very well.

El único spoiler que puedo dar ahora es que las películas que incluyen brujas son las que mas miedo me dan, pero me encantan, siento que este tema es algo que realmente puede pasar y que da mucho miedo saber que hay gente asi de loca por ahí suelta en la vida real. Y si ya viste esta película y sabes el final quisiera saber que piensas de ese final, ya que vi muchas personas quejándose de que tuvo un final muy desentonado con toda la película, a mi me pareció perfecto, literalmente me encanto jajaja, aunque me hubiese gustado saber como explicaron toda esa situación a la policía ya que dudo mucho que la policía crea en brujerías. EN fin, esta película me sorprendió bastante y no esperaba que asi fuera mi puntuación final es un 4.8/5

The only spoiler I can give now is that movies that include witches are the ones that scare me the most, but I love them, I feel like this topic is something that can really happen and that it's really scary to know that there are people that crazy out there in real life. And if you've already seen this movie and know the ending, I would like to know what you think about that ending, since I saw a lot of people complaining that it had a very discordant ending with the whole movie, I thought it was perfect, I literally loved it hahaha, although I would have liked to know how they explained that whole situation to the police since I highly doubt that the police believe in witchcraft. Anyway, this movie surprised me quite a bit and I didn't expect it to be like that, my final score is 4.8/5.
