The bear is GOLD!

A few weeks ago, we ran out of things to watch after finishing Attack on Titan. It was really hard to find something new, since most shows didn’t look very appealing or we’d already seen them… But I logged into Disney+ and, after searching for a while, I found this series that I’d seen people say was really good—“The Bear.” We started watching it, and honestly, the first few episodes didn’t really grab me, but it was either that or nothing, haha. BUT surprisingly, as the series went on, it got more and more gripping, and honestly, I LOVED IT.

“The Bear” is a drama series that shows us how Carmy decides to work to improve his late brother's restaurant and turn it into something huge. But Carmy isn’t alone; he’s joined by his brother’s former staff and friends. Little by little throughout the story, we see how they interact in a very unique way, and it’s truly beautiful to watch the entire cast on screen—it feels completely natural, or at least that’s how I perceived it, as if it were a real-life scene...

It tackles deeply profound themes and showcases incredible character development—some characters we didn’t have much faith in and even disliked end up finding a purpose, a goal that helps them grow, and ultimately become the most human of them all.

Some episodes are incredibly emotional and intense; they evoke feelings of anxiety, stress, and laughter. In short, there are episodes that are an emotional rollercoaster—they can really get you down or even make you feel a strong connection to the characters, just like I did with Carmy.

But without a doubt, the BEST episode—the one that made me feel like I was part of the show, kept me spellbound for an hour, and was the most intense, interesting, and profound of them all—was Season 2, Episode 6, which features a “Christmas dinner” with family and friends. To me, that episode is ART; seriously, it’s just too incredible.

Not only that, but this episode features an amazing cast of highly acclaimed actors who definitely deliver a spectacular performance—it’s the best episode of a series I’ve seen in a long time.

I really, really recommend this series—it’s absolutely wonderful. You’ll grow so attached to the characters that you’ll actually miss the show once you’re done with it. There’s still one more season to come, which is set to premiere this year, and I can’t wait to watch it.
