Desde hace muchísimo tiempo que no conseguía una serie que me dejara con ganas de ver mas capítulos, pero debía resistirme en cada capitulo ya que es una serie bastante corta de solo 10 capítulos y es una pena porque es de esas historias que te encantaría ver en muchísimos capítulos sin que se acabe, Widows bay tiene de todo y desde el primer capítulo te engancha, y la empecé a ver con muy bajas expectativas ya que últimamente era IMPOSIBLE ver una serie que me guste.
It had been a really long time since I’d come across a series that left me wanting to watch more episodes, but I had to hold back with each episode since it’s a pretty short series with only 10 episodes—and that’s a shame because it’s one of those stories you’d love to see unfold over many, many episodes without ever ending. Widows Bay has it all, and it hooks you right from the first episode, and I started watching it with very low expectations since lately it’s been IMPOSSIBLE to find a series I actually like.
Widows bay es una isla que es bastante aburrida, incluso parece atrapada en el tiempo y a la vez una isla llena de misterios e historias de terror de todo tipo. En principio conocemos a nuestro personaje principal llamado Tom que es el alcalde de esta isla y quien quiere que la isla sea un destino turístico, este hombre tiene una visión del futuro muy buena para esta isla y por eso intenta impresionar a un periodista para conseguir una buena reseña y lograr revivir el turismo en este lugar, curiosamente Tom lo logra y ahora toca lidiar con todas aquellas “leyendas urbanas” que cuenta la gente de la isla, la cuestión es que Tom no se cree nada de estas historias y durante cada episodio vamos a ser testigos de como se materializan todas estas leyendas.
Widows Bay is a rather boring island—it even seems stuck in time—yet at the same time, it’s an island full of mysteries and horror stories of all kinds. At the beginning, we meet our main character, Tom, who is the mayor of the island and wants to turn it into a tourist destination. This man has a very promising vision for the island’s future, so he tries to impress a journalist to get a good review and revive tourism there. Interestingly, Tom succeeds, and now he has to deal with all the “urban legends” that the islanders tell. The thing is, Tom doesn’t believe any of these stories, and throughout each episode, we’ll witness how all these legends come to life.

Lo mejor de esta serie es que no es la típica serie de terror donde todo es tetrico, sino que tambien nos acompañan en cada capitulo con un HUMOR que es una JOYA en estos tiempos, son personajes que se sienten super naturales y que sus momentos “chistosos” son super reales y naturales y causan una sensación demasiado satisfactoria porque se nota que hicieron los guiones con mucho amor y los actores que le dan vida a estos personajes tambien hicieron un trabajo sumamente increíble. Les juro que estaba muy aburrida de los intentos de chistes que conseguimos en la tv de hoy en día mas que todo haciendo referencias a términos de internet que sinceramente terminan dando una sensación de incomodidad en vez de risa, asi que ver este tipo de humor fresco es un alivio entre tanta basura.
The best thing about this series is that it’s not the typical horror show where everything is gloomy; instead, each episode is infused with a sense of HUMOR that’s a real GEM these days. The characters feel incredibly natural, and their “funny” moments are so genuine and authentic that they’re incredibly satisfying—you can tell the scripts were written with a lot of love, and the actors who bring these characters to life did an absolutely incredible job. I swear, I was so bored with the half-baked jokes we get on TV these days—mostly references to internet slang that, honestly, end up making you feel awkward instead of laughing—so seeing this kind of fresh humor is a breath of fresh air amid all the trash.

El mejor episodio de esta serie es el episodio 4, para mi, significo una obra de arte total, me encantó el plot twist super inesperado del final y tambien me identifique tanto con Patricia que se convirtió en uno de mis personajes favoritos, definitivamente un episodio que vale ORO.
The best episode of this series is Episode 4. To me, it’s a true work of art. I loved the totally unexpected plot twist at the end, and I related so much to Patricia that she became one of my favorite characters. It’s definitely an episode worth its weight in GOLD.

Super sí recomiendo esta serie, es la segunda serie de Apple Tv que me gusta tanto, creo que Apple esta reviviendo el cine mientras que los demás lo estan sepultando
I definitely recommend this series—it's the second Apple TV series that I really like. I think Apple is reviving cinema while everyone else is burying it.
I've watched it last week really a very good TV series I liked all episodes a good mix between horror and smart comedy.
