Criogenizacion: vivir dos veces| Reseña y Opinión [ESP-ENG]

Compañeros de la cinematografía que disfrutan transitar por los rincones del entretenimiento y por los pasajes visuales reales o ficticias que con llevan a la reflexión; me disculpo por mi ausencia, estuve de reposo debido a mi problema de la cervical. Sin embargo, las proyecciones audiovisuales me acompañaron y decidí escribir sobre un documental que supo ganar terreno en mi pensamiento para compartir impresiones y opiniones con ustedes; aunque aún tengo limitaciones, hice el esfuerzo en transcribir ideas, ya que, la cinematografía seleccionada merece el reconocimiento, puesto que, de manera agradable e interesante, documenta la vida de una familia que refugia el dolor de la muerte de un ser querido, cuando toma la decisión “descabellada o no” de que pueda vivir nuevamente. El director supo como amalgamar las partes de la información con imágenes sutiles y científicas para que el espectador tome una postura al respecto.

El documental Criogenización: Vivir dos veces es una obra maestra para mi gusto selectivo acerca de la ciencia y la espiritualidad, te invita a reflexionar y buscar el punto intermedio de encuentro o establecer la distancia sobre paradigmas antagonistas. Lo cierto es que me sentí feliz de escuchar y ver la historia de una familia que escogen una decisión inusual, sin desligarse del otro pensamiento, aunque parezca que una idea es gobernada por otra. Les cuento, Criogenización es una proyección de 2018, que expone las etapas de una familia tailandesa que decide criogenizar (congelar) al miembro más pequeño, una niña, luego de sufrir cáncer, decisión sugerida de un padre científico que agota todas las posibilidades de mantenerla con vida. La cinematografía empieza con la narración de la posibilidad de tener una nueva oportunidad de vida después de la muerte, tal ilusión es atesorada en tumbas con forma de cilindros metálicos para esperar el momento de encuentro con la vida, es como ver una película de ciencia ficción. Luego se desarrolla un hilo discursivo argumentativo en explicar lo positivo del sistema de criogenizar y que existe un problema común entre los individuos, llamado muerte.

Fellow filmmakers who enjoy passing through the nooks and crannies of entertainment and visual passages, real or fictitious, that lead to reflection; I apologize for my absence, I was resting due to my cervical problem. However, the audiovisual projections accompanied me and I decided to write about a documentary that managed to gain ground in my thoughts to share impressions and opinions with you; although I still have limitations, I made the effort to transcribe ideas, since the selected cinematography deserves recognition, since, in a pleasant and interesting way, it documents the life of a family that shelters the pain of the death of a loved one, when they make the "crazy or not" decision that they can live again. The director knew how to amalgamate parts of the information with subtle and scientific images for the viewer to take a position on the matter.

The documentary Cryonics: Living Twice is a masterpiece for my selective taste about science and spirituality, it invites you to reflect and look for the middle ground of encounter or establish the distance on antagonistic paradigms. The truth is that I was happy to hear and see the story of a family that chooses an unusual decision, without detaching from the other thought, although it seems that one idea is governed by another. I tell you, Hope Frozen is a 2018 screening, which exposes the stages of a Thai family that decides to cryogenize (freeze) the youngest member, a girl, after suffering from cancer, a decision suggested from a scientist father who exhausts all possibilities to keep her alive. The cinematography begins with the narration of the possibility of having a new chance of life after death, such illusion is treasured in tombs in the shape of metal cylinders to wait for the moment of meeting with life, it is like watching a science fiction movie. Then an argumentative discursive thread is developed to explain the positive aspects of the cryonics system and that there is a common problem among individuals, called death.

La historia es fluida y avanza en un plano donde los protagonistas, el científico padre tailandés, la esposa y el hijo Matrix, cuentan del por qué apoyaron la decisión de buscar otro camino para encontrar la vida y abandonar la muerte. El punto de vista se reviste de argumentos científicos que explican la necesidad, pienso y me gustó ver, un padre en dar otra oportunidad para que viva la niña Eniz y recuerde que la aman, sentimiento vigente en cualquier época. Las palabras de la familia son conmovedoras, filosóficas y científicas y esto es valorado por el director Pailin Wedel, dar sentido a las ideas por medios de imágenes que pintan la representación mental de la familia, es decir, comparaciones, analogías y metáforas usadas para llegar a otros que comprendan y respeten la determinación de la familia. Por otra parte, afirma la familia no violar ninguna creencia espiritual filosófica por usar el conocimiento científico para justificar la “vida eterna", todo el razonamiento acompañado de imágenes sensibles, reales y de la naturaleza para crear la conexión con el espectador y visualizar el futuro. Cada miembro de la familia es pilar importante de la resolución tomada y tienen que enfrentar las críticas de una sociedad escéptica y responder el embudo del periodismo, medio creador de noticias, a veces poca informativa, con contenido amarillista.

El documental atraviesa un pasaje del tiempo, supongo, debido al tema Segunda vida, con el fin que el espectador asimile la situación de la pérdida de un familiar, la pequeña Einz. También la proyección realza que aunque el grupo familiar se aliente y comprenda lo positivo de la ciencia como alternativa, también recurren a la religión para sanar el duelo físico prematuro, usando la inteligencia espiritual. Otro punto, a destacar del documental, es que el científico deja en claro que no hay remplazo sentimental; que por ahora la ciencia en este campo está empezando a responder interrogantes, es muy pronto pensar en una solución inmediata. El hijo del científico, hermano de la niña, Matrix se involucra en la ciencia que una respuesta de un científico joven especializado en rescatar las células de un órgano fascinante y misterioso del ser humano, desalienta y el padre usa palabras alentadoras para que no pierda la fe en la ciencia, la proyección una vez más, realza el valor de una familia unida y amorosa.

The story flows and progresses on a plane where the protagonists, the Thai scientist father, wife and son Matrix, tell why they supported the decision to seek another way to find life and abandon death. The point of view is clothed with scientific arguments that explain the need, I think and I liked to see, a father in giving another chance for the girl Eniz to live and remember that they love her, a feeling that is valid in any era. The words of the family are poignant, philosophical and scientific and this is valued by the director Pailin Wedel, giving meaning to the ideas by means of images that paint the mental representation of the family, that is, comparisons, analogies and metaphors used to reach others who understand and respect the determination of the family. Moreover, the family claims not to violate any philosophical, spiritual beliefs by using scientific knowledge to justify "eternal life", all reasoning accompanied by sensitive, realistic and nature images to create a connection with the viewer and visualize the future. Each member of the family is an important pillar of the resolution taken and they have to face the criticism of a skeptical society and respond to the funnel of journalism, a medium that creates news, sometimes uninformative, with yellowish content.

The documentary goes through a passage of time, I suppose, due to the Second Life theme, in order for the viewer to assimilate the situation of the loss of a family member, little Einz. Also, the projection highlights that although the family group is encouraged and understands the positives of science as an alternative, they also turn to religion to heal premature physical grief, using spiritual intelligence. Another point to highlight in the documentary is that the scientist makes it clear that there is no sentimental replacement; that for now science in this field is just beginning to answer questions, it is too soon to think of an immediate solution. The son of the scientist, brother of the girl, Matrix gets involved in science, a response from a young scientist specialized in rescuing the cells of a fascinating and mysterious organ of the human being, discourages him and the father uses encouraging words so that he does not lose faith in science; the projection once again enhances the value of a united and loving family.

¿Por qué debo ver criogenización? Un tema interesante, aparte de ello, fue sensible vivir la experiencia, lo emotivo y equilibrado de creer en una teoría sin desacreditar creencias, que le da el toque seriedad y armonía a la historia, hasta llegar a sentir apego con la familia de la niña Einz y el sistema de criogenización. Repito, las imágenes de la naturaleza son de reflexión y esperanzadoras; mientras que las del Alcor Life, extensión donde se encuentra la niña, es la escenografía de una película de ciencia ficción, lugar donde la proyección entrelaza lo frío del lugar, el lenguaje científico por el cual atravesó la niña y lo emotivo de escuchar para confirmar que ha sido la mejor opción, desde mi perspectiva, la obra plasma la ciencia tiene el poder del Dios Médico Asclepio (milagro de sanar). La ciencia continúa avanzando para solucionar enigmas y la vida eterna es una de ella, sé que hay prototipos científicos de personas ya fallecidas (inteligencia artificial), pero esta ambición es regresar a esa persona de vuelta, ya sea alma o células, seguirá en discusión científica, ya que existen pasos gigantes en cuanto a retrasar la muerte y la ciencia es responsable. Un final interesante del documental, comprender subtemas importantes, vida, muerte, ciencia, familia y espiritualidad para gestar la opinión, luego de debatir el tema en 75 minutos que dura el film.

Why should I watch Hope Frozen? An interesting topic, apart from that, it was sensitive to live the experience, the emotional and balanced of believing in a theory without discrediting beliefs, which gives the seriousness and harmony to the story, until you get to feel attached to the family of the Einz girl and the cryogenization system. I repeat, the images of nature are reflective and hopeful; while those of Alcor Life, the extension where the girl is, is the scenery of a science fiction movie, where the projection intertwines the coldness of the place, the scientific language through which the girl went through and the emotional listening to confirm that it has been the best option, from my perspective, the work plasma science has the power of the Medical God Asclepius (miracle of healing). Science continues to advance to solve enigmas and eternal life is one of them, I know there are scientific prototypes of people already deceased (artificial intelligence), but this ambition is to return that person back, whether soul or cells, will remain in scientific discussion, as there are giant steps in delaying death and science is responsible. An interesting end of the documentary, understanding important sub-themes, life, death, science, family and spirituality to gestate the opinion, after debating the issue in 75 minutes that lasts the film.
