El cine funciona en oportunidades como vehículo para educar a los espectadores acerca de temas importantes de la vida real. Acontecimientos que impactaron a la sociedad y conllevan a opinar, a reflexionar y a reconocer los personajes involucrados en determinados eventos de conmoción. La batalla de Kamdesh, es una obra del cine que comparte las circunstancias históricas de un batallón militar destinado a un final decretado; el film recrea la supuesta estrategia geográfica de los norteamericanos en un establecimiento de avanzada de negociación. La película, La batalla de Kamdesh, es otra cinematografía de guerra que te hace vivir desde otro plano, diferentes rasgos: emociones, cultura, estrategias, pérdida, compañerismo y heroísmo, los cuales son interpretados por los actores a través de un argumento convincente y demás recursos del cine para satisfacer y transmitir al espectador información.

La batalla de Kamdesh, es una película estrena en el 2020, de género bélico, drama y guerra; dirigido por Rod Lurie, quien decidió construir una historia basada en la narración de un corresponsal de guerra sobre hechos reales. ¿De qué trata? Expone la guerra ocurrida en Afganistán en el año 2009; un episodio en tierra inhóspita, entre un escuadrón conformado por 53 soldados americanos y un grupo de talibanes que los superaban en números. Las cintas basadas en experiencia reales son fascinantes, generan mayor interés en mí y explican los motivos de los sucesos; la peculiaridad de la proyección se basa en el lugar, la cantidad de soldados, y el desenlace de resistencia.

Cinema sometimes functions as a vehicle to educate viewers about important real-life issues. Events that impacted society and lead to opinion, reflection and recognition of the characters involved in certain events of commotion. The Battle of Kamdesh is a work of cinema that shares the historical circumstances of a military battalion destined to a decreed end; the film recreates the supposed geographic strategy of the Americans in an advanced negotiation establishment. The film, The Battle of Kamdesh, is another war cinematography that makes you live from another plane, different features: emotions, culture, strategies, loss, comradeship and heroism, which are interpreted by the actors through a convincing argument and other resources of cinema to satisfy and transmit information to the viewer.

The Battle of Kamdesh, is a film released in 2020, of war genre, drama and war; directed by Rod Lurie, who decided to build a story based on the narration of a war correspondent about real events. What is it about? It exposes the war that took place in Afghanistan in 2009; an episode in an inhospitable land, between a squadron of 53 American soldiers and a group of Taliban that outnumbered them. The films based on real experiences are fascinating, generate more interest in me and explain the reasons for the events; the peculiarity of the projection is based on the place, the number of soldiers, and the outcome of resistance.

El ritmo de la película estuvo en el principio direccionado en ubicar al cinéfilo sobre la batalla; secuencias lentas y lineales que afectaron mi foco de atención. Después, empiezan escenas que alertan al espectador y estimulan a formular preguntas u opiniones a partir de órdenes del alto mando militar; se rompe el clima de incertidumbre y desmotivación al presentar episodios que cobran fuerzas, hasta lograr imágenes y contenidos de asombro, sin crear ningún tipo de ansiedad y desesperación, sino vivir el drama al ritmo del comportamiento militar, es decir, reacción servida de tomas de decisiones rápidas.

Otro aspecto del film, que restó interés en mí, es ver el desarrollo de escenas a oscuras, se me dificulta discriminar, pero para ellos como militares es una ventaja. La proyección en plena luz es diferente, una toma área en movimiento permite visualizar el refugio militar, la distribución y el ambiente hostil prominente que parece arrasar con el espacio militar americano; realmente imágenes de un fuerte complejo para batallar. Por otra parte, los efectos especiales creíbles, el destello de las armas rasantes, el polvo que cubre los alrededores y a las personas, la sangre en el piso, heridas desgarradoras producto de balas y bombas, era estar dentro de una realidad virtual.

The rhythm of the film was initially aimed at placing the moviegoer on the battle; slow and linear sequences that affected my focus of attention. Later, scenes begin that alert the viewer and stimulate to formulate questions or opinions based on orders from the military high command; the climate of uncertainty and demotivation is broken by presenting episodes that gain strength, until achieving images and contents of astonishment, without creating any kind of anxiety and despair, but living the drama at the pace of military behavior, that is, reaction served by quick decision making.

Another aspect of the film, which subtracted interest in me, is to see the development of scenes in the dark, it is difficult for me to discriminate, but for them as military is an advantage. The projection in full light is different, a moving area shot allows to visualize the military shelter, the distribution and the prominent hostile environment that seems to sweep the American military space; really images of a strong complex to battle. On the other hand, the credible special effects, the flashing of the guns, the dust that covers the surroundings and the people, the blood on the floor, the tearing wounds caused by bullets and bombs, it was like being inside a virtual reality.

Los efectos de sonidos contundentes, escuchar el impacto de las balas, explosiones, cañones y morteros en escenas continuas de acción que te hacen parte de la larga batalla que sufrió la pequeña tropa; por otra parte, el alivio al escuchar el estruendo del apoyo aéreo (helicóptero y avión) en condiciones de desventajas, promueve la respiración profunda.

Al inicio, el diálogo reacción a una misión sencilla, acercarse a la comunidad afgana; luego se transforma en un infierno para confrontar la emboscada del enemigo, el argumento del film. El lenguaje estratega militar fundamental para sobrevivir ante la arremetida de los talibanes que parecen atacar en enjambre, ver esa puesta del drama me sorprendió. Diálogos cargados de conversaciones rutinarias y de burla fueron un tanto molesto; luego el giro de la cinematografía, relatos basados en amistad, nostalgia, miedo y de decisiones acertadas en tan poco tiempo, supervivencia del regimiento EEUU.

The effects of the sound effects, hearing the impact of bullets, explosions, cannons and mortars in continuous scenes of action that make you part of the long battle suffered by the small troop; on the other hand, the relief of hearing the roar of air support (helicopter and airplane) in disadvantageous conditions promotes deep breathing.

At the beginning, the dialogue reacts to a simple mission, to get closer to the Afghan community; then it turns into a hell to confront the enemy's ambush, the plot of the film. The military strategist language fundamental to survive in the face of the onslaught of the Taliban that seem to swarm attack, watching that setting of the drama surprised me. Dialogues loaded with routine conversations and mockery were somewhat annoying; then the twist the cinematography, stories based on friendship, nostalgia, fear and of right decisions in such a short time, survival of the US regiment.

Obedecer en el recinto y observar los alrededores, provocan reacciones diversas en los soldados enviados a la trinchera insegura; pero la formación militar de la compañía de jóvenes arremete con todo. Batallón liderado por el sargento, hace frente a la inquietante amenaza de los talibanes y traidores en el terreno del campamento. Actuaciones bien ejecutadas; tengo mi dos actores favoritos; primero, Clint Eastwood, es el sargento Clim Romesha, responsable de recibir y dar órdenes, responde a exigencias del ambiente en atacar y salvar al batallón. Un sujeto seguro de sí que amé, un soldado decidido en resistir y apoyar al grupo de jóvenes a través de un plan, mientras espera la llegada de la fuerza aérea. Me gustó, el rol protagónico del Caleb Landry Jones, hace del especialista Ty Michael Carter, de carácter desesperante, raro y agradable, la combinación perfecta para responder las horas más duras del asalto de los talibanes.

¿Por qué tengo que ver La batalla de Kamdesh? Primero, es un film que pinta parte de la historia de la guerra norteamericano en Afganistán y es importante documentarse acerca de la posición geográfica militar nada favorable de la potencia estadounidense. Segundo, posee la película fuerza, demuestra el heroísmo de la tropa y el coraje con la cual, repela la amenaza y se protege en medio del desastre del puesto "estratégico"; tercero, un film que rinde homenaje a los soldados jóvenes que sobrevivieron y a los fallecidos. Cuarto y último, las tomas e imágenes son bien logradas que atrapan al público; la grabación en el fuerte rodeado de territorio talibán son escenas de acción buenas. Realmente una película que merece la oportunidad y de los cinéfilos que les gusta el género guerra, no se arrepentirán.

Obeying in the enclosure and observing the surroundings provoke different reactions in the soldiers sent to the insecure trench; but the military formation of the company of young men lashes out with everything. Battalion led by the sergeant, dealing with the unsettling threat of Taliban and traitors on the camp ground. Well executed performances; I have my two favorite actors; first, Clint Eastwood, as Sgt. Clim Romesha, responsible for taking and giving orders, responds to environmental demands in attacking and saving the battalion. A confident guy that I loved, a soldier determined to resist and support the group of young men through a plan, while waiting for the arrival of the air force. I liked the leading role of Caleb Landry Jones, who makes Specialist Ty Michael Carter, a desperate, quirky and likable character, the perfect combination to answer the toughest hours of the Taliban assault.

Why should I watch The Battle of Kamdesh? First, it is a film that depicts part of the history of the American war in Afghanistan and it is important to document the unfavorable geographical military position of the American force. Second, the film has strength, it shows the heroism of the troops and the courage with which they repel the threat and protect themselves in the midst of the disaster of the "strategic" post; third, it is a film that pays tribute to the young soldiers who survived and those who died. Fourth and lastly, the shots and images are well done and the audience is gripped; the filming in the fort surrounded by Taliban territory are good action scenes. Truly a film that deserves a chance and moviegoers who like the war genre will not regret it.
