Why Some Indians Are Black in Color ?
It has been a long time that I have been watching indian film right from my childhood stage, I still remember this film, dharam and fair, Karan Arjun, Sholay, Mard and so on but since then I use to see some black indians in their movie and I use to wonder why.
Growing up I later realize that there are some factors needed to be considered. The simple reason is nature. India is a very big country, with many type of weather and climate. In the south, the sun is very strong and hot almost all year, so people there naturally have darker skin. This is not bad at all, it is just how body protect itself from sun. The skin make more melanin, that is like a natural cover, and it makes skin darker. People from north India or places with less hot sun, they have lighter skin.
Another factor or reason to be considered is history. India is mixed of so many people, from different cultures and race. Over thousands of years, people from outside come and mixed, and that also change how people look. That is why in India you will see all type of faces and colors.
But honestly, skin color should not even be a big problem matter issue. Sometime people judge each other by color, and that is wrong. I have seen my friend who is dark, he is more smart, more kind and hard working than many others. So what is the use of being fair if you don’t have good heart and if you can do the right thing you need to do in a particular situation.
I feel the beauty of India is in this diversity. Dark, fair, tall, short, fat, thin and all kind of people live together. And in many ways in, that is what make the country special country.
Some of my school mate that love indian films and have seen a lot of them films used to ask the same question and I will let them know by saying it is nature, it is history, and it is beautiful. Skin color is not what define a person, it is what inside the heart that really count.
