The Ambulance is a 1990 film directed by Larry Cohen. It is rated-R for violence and language and is a quirky drama released by Triumph.

This film is campy, sarcastic and captures 1990 New York City well. It has received a 4.9/10 on IMDb, and has mixed reviews overall. I enjoy the atmosphere of this film and the characters are well casted.

The film begins with Roberts' character pursuing a woman on the streets who collapses and is taken away by an old ambulance. Roberts purses the ambulance's destination and cannot find the woman. Roberts then pursues the woman and makes the discovery that a mysterious doctor is taking diabetics for human experimentation. From there, the movie takes twists and turns as Roberts continues his quest to find the woman and the truth.

Stan Lee makes an appearance in the film as Eric Roberts' boss. The shots in the film and the dialogue are well done and the progression is good. This movie has received mixed reviews, and is very 1990s. It's a period piece in New York City and a very Cohen film. I recommend watching it, as it is very entertaining.
