Reseña: La Niña | Serie Colombiana [ES | EN]

Hace muchísimo tiempo tuve la oportunidad de poder ver una serie colombiana llamada "La niña" en Netflix, que justamente trata sobre la guerrilla colombiana. Vengo a traerles esta reseña porque pienso que es una buena opción para verla en estos tiempos dónde en Venezuela se habla mucho sobre guerra y conflictos armados. Que si bien es cierto es más que todo por parte del Gobierno de Venezuela que de EEUU.

¿Pero por qué la elijo? La guerrilla colombiana es un conflicto armado que ha persistido durante muchos años, dónde han caído inocentes, dónde los campesinos son los más afectados ya que estos grupos armados "secuestran" o reclutan menores de edad para la guerrilla entre las farc y el ELN. Es algo que jamás debería existir y aún, persiste.

De esta historia colombiana aprendí con esta serie que relata la vida de todos los menores que fueron sobrevivientes por parte de personas que están en interés de la ambición y poder.

A long time ago, I had the opportunity to watch a Colombian series called “La niña” on Netflix, which is about the Colombian guerrilla movement. I'm bringing you this review because I think it's a good choice to watch at a time when there is a lot of talk in Venezuela about war and armed conflict. Although it's true that this is mostly coming from the Venezuelan government rather than the US.

But why did I choose it? The Colombian guerrilla war is an armed conflict that has persisted for many years, where innocent people have died, where peasants are the most affected because these armed groups “kidnap” or recruit minors for the guerrilla groups, such as the FARC and the ELN. It is something that should never exist, and yet it persists.

From this Colombian story, I learned from this series that recounts the lives of all the minors who were survivors of people who are interested in ambition and power.

Esta es la historia de la serie "La niña", una ex guerrillera colombiana afronta diversos retos cuando se reintegra en la sociedad y trata de sobreponerse a sus traumáticos recuerdos. Protagonizada por Ana María Estupiñán que interpreta a Belkys Rocío Bustamante "Sara" y Manuel Monsalve, nterpretado por Sebastián Esclava. Transitada por el Canal Caracol y por Netflix.

La verdad es una historia muy fuerte cuando la Vi, tenía unos 17 años recuerdo y cuando Colombia estaba con lo de la forma de "la paz". Es una historia sumamente fuerte, porque vemos a Belky desde pequeña haciendo los labores del hogar y de repente su vida cambia para siempre cuando da vida por su hermano menor. Pasar de colocar minas, disparar y colocar bombas a iniciar de cero y ser médico cirujano. Aún la historia no termina allí porque aunque la ayudan, el coronel Barragán no la dejara en paz. Es una historia basada en hechos reales y donde esta persona si existió.

This is the story of the series “La niña” (The Girl), in which a former Colombian guerrilla fighter faces various challenges as she reintegrates into society and tries to overcome her traumatic memories. Starring Ana María Estupiñán as Belkys Rocío Bustamante “Sara” and Manuel Monsalve, played by Sebastián Esclava. Broadcast on Canal Caracol and Netflix.

It's a very powerful story. When I saw it, I was about 17 years old, I remember, and Colombia was in the midst of the “peace” process. It's an extremely powerful story, because we see Belky from a young age doing household chores, and suddenly her life changes forever when she gives birth to her younger brother. She goes from planting mines, shooting, and setting bombs to starting from scratch and becoming a surgeon. The story doesn't end there because even though she gets help, Colonel Barragán won't leave her alone. It's a story based on real events, and this person really existed.

Es una historia que te lleva a reflexionar e inspirar que no importa tu pasado ni aún siendo el más oscuro y duro para ti; se puede salir de ello y vencer. La súper recomiendo, eso ha sido todo, nos vemos pronto!

It's a story that makes you reflect and inspires you to believe that no matter how dark and difficult your past may be, you can overcome it and come out on top. I highly recommend it. That's all for now, see you soon!
