This science fiction film was directed by Christopher Nolan, British-American film director, screenwriter, producer and editor. multi Oscar nominee

A film that literally tries to take us beyond the stars.

The plot revolves around a group of astronauts led by Matthew McConaughey's character, an engineer named Cooper, who together, venture on an interstellar journey in search of a new home for humanity, as Earth is on the brink of destruction.

On their journey, they face wormholes, time travel and the uncertainty of the unknown.

The film attempts to explore themes of love, survival and human connection amidst the vast universe....

In addition to Matthew McConaughey, we have Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine, among others. These actors try to bring their characters to life and keep us interested amidst the scientific dialogues and cosmic theories.

Interstellar was nominated for several major awards. It earned five Academy Award nominations, including Best Original Score and Best Visual Effects, although it did not take home any golden statuettes.

The film also received recognition at the Saturn Awards, the BAFTA Awards and the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, among others. However, despite the nominations, it failed to win many notable awards, perhaps because the plot got lost in the vast outer space... or simply because it wasn't as impressive as they had hoped.

The production budget was 165 million dollars and it grossed over 770 million at the box office.

Personally, it is a science fiction movie that shows interesting things and fulfills its function of entertaining and even teaching.

An interesting movie but not my favorite from Christopher Nolan's filmography, for my taste it has some pacing issues.
