Jason Statham has caused quite a stir with his latest action movie. The action ace is back with a movie that will keep you hooked. Amazon Prime Video has just added Beekeeper to its extensive catalogue of TV series and movies.

This violent revenge thriller could have been made by someone more interesting.

Still, it's fun to watch the bullet-riddled action star take down a squad of mostly unarmed government agents and mercenary thugs.

Jason Statham plays Adam Clay, a retired field agent working for a top-secret national security force designed to intervene and restore order when certain nefarious criminal situations get out of hand.

While no longer a "beekeeper," as the secret government task force is known, he now spends his time as a real beekeeper, meticulously tending hives, harvesting honey on the idyllic farmland owned by Eloise Parker .

Imagine being a senior citizen and saving money all your life, only to lose it all in the blink of an eye.

That's the case for Eloise Parker (Phylicia Rashad), one of the main characters in Jason Statham's new action film, Beekeeper:

This film tackles a growing problem in our society: wire fraud. The action movie legend plays a character who is a beekeeper living in a rural area.

Without disturbing the peace and quiet of others, he rents Eloise a modest plot of land and goes about his work. In fact, he cultivates a unique bond with the old woman. It is he who stumbles upon her lifeless body, having tragically taken his own life after falling victim to a gang of heartless criminals who cruelly drain his financial resources.
