Zoe (2018)

This is a romantic, sci-fi drama directed by Drake Doremus and scripted by Richard Greenberg.

The plot is set in the near future, where technology has advanced enough to allow the creation of synthetic humans called "synthetics"....

The story follows two main characters, Zoe, played by Léa Seydoux, and Cole, played by Ewan McGregor, who work together in a research laboratory that is dedicated to developing and improving synthetics...

As Zoe and Cole spend more time together, they begin to develop romantic feelings for each other, raising questions about the nature of love and emotional connection in a world dominated by technology....

The film explores themes of identity, morality and what it means to be human, as the characters struggle to find their place in this technologically advanced future....

It offers a visually appealing aesthetic and solid performances by the cast, which includes Christina Aguilera as Jewels, Theo James as Ash, Rashida Jones as Emma, Miranda Otto as the designer and Matthew Gray Gubler as Michael.

The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on 21 April 2018.

The film received mixed reviews, with some saying it was an emotional drama and others saying it was a shallow portrayal of love.

Personally I found it interesting and it does the job of entertaining.
