The film is presented as an intense drama that maintains a steady pace throughout the plot, without major emotional peaks but with a good tonal consistency.

Its best moments are in the first thirty minutes, where the lead actors manage to shine in their performances.

The careful setting in Oxford, together with well-executed cinematography, give the story a special air, further enriched by British cultural references and poetic allusions that add depth.

The chemistry between Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchrees is moderate, but enough to sustain interest throughout most of the film, complemented by occasional interventions from some secondary characters.
