Sandler is one of my favorite comedic actors.
Just today I saw the promo on Netflix for part 2, but I need to see part 1 in order to understand part 2, so the quote is a double quote. Thanks for sharing this recap.

you do not need to see part 1 to understand part 2. They recap all of that in part 2. But part 1 is even more ridiculous than part 2. It gives a better sense of how Sandler became famous though because it was kind of his first breakout role unless I am mistaken. Close to the first anyway.
There are a lot of people that hate him and I can understand why they do. He is the same character in a lot of films and most of the time these characters are pretty damn stupid. He has turned this into a lot of financial success for himself though and while I am not a Sandler hater, I think I try to like him a lot more than perhaps I actually do like him. His serious roles are really eye-opening though about how much talent he has. If you haven't already seen them I recommend that you see Punch Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, or if you want a serious/comedy hybrid, see "Click"
