Juana, quien tiene 17 años es una chica tímida, con miedo a enamorarse, pues los fracasos sentimentales de su familia la han vuelto desconfiada y aprensiva. Un día, Juana se va a hacer una revisión ginecológica, en ese momento, el médico confunde su expediente con el otra paciente que se estaba sometiendo a un tratamiento de fertilidad y le practica una inseminación artificial sin que se diera cuenta; el irresponsable médico oculta su error y desaparece las pruebas. Así, en el vientre de Juana crece la última semilla fértil de Mauricio de la Vega, un hombre que sueña con ser padre. Cuando Mauricio se entera de que hay una mujer que espera un hijo suyo, comienza a buscarla desesperadamente, hasta que ambos terminan encontrándose.

Juana la Virgen fue estrenada en el año 2002 y fue protagonizada por Daniela Alvarado y Ricardo Álamo. La telenovela se convirtió en uno de los mayores éxitos televisivos del país, trayendo consigo altos índices de audiencia y una exitosa adaptación americana protagonizada por Gina Rodriguez y Justin Baldoni.

4 - MI GORDA BELLA (2002)

Valentina Villanueva es una joven agradable e inteligente. Podría decirse que lo tiene todo. Todo, menos la belleza física. Esto la hizo acomplejarse y desde hace mucho se refugió en los dulces como antidepresivos. No obstante, nunca pudo llenar el vacío de su alma, consiguiendo en cambio, llenar su cuerpo, aumentando de peso de forma exagerada. A pesar de ello, Valentina ha aprendido a quererse así misma y a aceptarse tal cual es. La telenovela fue protagonizada por los venezolanos: Natalia Streignard y Juan Pablo Raba, con las participaciones antagónicas de Hilda Abrahamz, Félix Loreto, Marcos Moreno, Luciano D' Alessandro, Aileen Celeste y Norkys Batista, además, fue vendida a más de 100 países y doblada en 15 idiomas. La productora mexicana Televisa tiene una adaptación con el nombre Llena de amor protagonizada por Ariadne Díaz y Valentino Lanús. Coprotagonizada por Altair Jarabo, Armando Araiza, César Évora y Laura Flores, y antagonizada por Azela Robinson y Alexis Ayala.

Además de las actuaciones estelares de Dad Dáger, Luciano D'Alessandro, Saúl Marín, Hilda Abrahamz, Kiara, Dora Mazzone y Flavio Caballero. Estrambótica Anastasia realizada por RCTV en 2004, fue una de las telenovelas más exitosas de Venezuela.

2 - LA MUJER DE JUDAS (2002)

En Carora, la noche del 3 de Enero, hace 20 años, seis amigas (Altagracia del Toro, Joaquina Leal, Laura Briceño, Chichita de Agüero Del Toro, Ricarda Araujo y Marina Batista) se reúnen en la iglesia del pueblo, donde el padre Sebastían muere brutalmente asesinado. Las seis mujeres juran llevarse a la tumba el secreto de lo que ha pasado, pero Altagracia, quien pensaba casarse aquella noche con su novio Julián Morera, es sacada a rastras de la iglesia con su traje de novia manchado de sangre y acusada del asesinato de Sebastián, siendo bautizada por el periodista Marcos Rojas Paúl como La Mujer de Judas, ya que en el interior del templo se encontró una estatua rota de San Judas Tadeo. Antes de abandonar Carora, Altagracia asegura que un día volverá para vengarse. Este crimen horrorizó a la opinión pública fustigada por el periodista Marcos Rojas Paúl, quien fue el que inventó el apodo de La Mujer de Judas para la asesina.

Altagracia fue a la cárcel gritando su inocencia y jurando vengarse de quienes la incriminaron. Veinte años más tarde, La Mujer de Judas sale de prisión dispuesta a cumplir su promesa. En Carora, la familia de Ludovico del Toro que se ha quedado con la fortuna de Altagracia, celebra la vendimia y espera con temor el regreso de la Mujer de Judas. Entre los pocos que siempre creyeron en la inocencia de Altagracia está Joaquina Leal, cuya hija Gloria decide que la Mujer de Judas puede ser un buen tema para su tesis. Fingiendo ser una famosa documentalista, Gloria se cuela a la vendimia. Ahí conoce a Salomón Abisman, presidente de las Bodegas del Toro de quien se enamora.

Gloria se embarca en un romance con Salomón, pero también tiene que enfrentar el regreso de sus visiones premonitorias y poco a poco irá descubriendo qué vínculo la une a Altagracia. Además, el reencuentro de las seis antiguas amigas coincide con la aparición de un misterioso ser que, disfrazado de novia, se dedicará a matar cruelmente a todo aquel que se interponga en su camino. Mediante sus poderes, Gloria, a quien se le aparece el espíritu del padre Sebastián, irá descubriendo poco a poco qué fue lo que ocurrió realmente la noche del 3 de enero, y, sobre todo, quien es el misterioso asesino o asesina que se oculta tras el velo de La Mujer de Judas.

La mujer de Judas se encuentra en el ranking de las novelas más exitosas a nivel mundial siendo que fue vendida a más 70 países y ésta entre las mejores novelas venezolanas. En el año 2012, la televisora mexicana Tv Azteca recreó una versión protagonizada por Geraldine Bazán, Daniel Elbittar, Mauricio Islas y Niurka Marcos.

La familia Del Ávila es dueña del Hotel Villa del Avila y de una mansión que está divida en dos bandos: los que quieren vender el hotel por el valor de los terrenos y los que se oponen a ello. Cuando Don Diego Del Ávila va a anunciar a su sucesor en la administración del hotel, su cuñado Rodrigo Córdoba, es asesinado misteriosamente, dando inicio a una cruenta lucha de intereses en la familia. En medio de ésta guerra, llega Angélica Rodríguez a cambiar el rumbo de las cosas. Angélica es una joven campesina que trabaja en la Finca, una propiedad recien adquirida por Marcelo Córdova Del Ávila, hijo del hombre asesinado. Marcelo, por su parte, se enamora de Angélica, pero se ve obligado a partir a la capital para formalizar su enlace matrimonial con Malena Vallejo, su prometida, hija del próspero empresario Hugo Vellejo, quien siempre ha querido echar mano del Hotel Villa Del Ávila. Lo que Marcelo desconoce es que de su noche de amor con Angélica ha quedado una huella, Angélica había quedado embarazada. Ella se queda con la esperanza de que él arreglará las cosas y regresará, pero pasan los días y Marcelo no vuelve. Ella decide entonces ir a buscarlo, pero al llegar a la Caracas, se entera de la verdad: Marcelo se ha casado con Malena. Erasmo Del Ávila, primo de Marcelo, hijo único y sucesor de Don Diego, le brinda apoyo a Angélica al enterarse de su situación. A pesar de su embarazo la introduce en la alta sociedad para que luche desde ahí por el amor de Marcelo. Ella acepta entonces casarse con Erasmo, el cual le dice a los miembros de la familia que el hijo que espera ella es de él, para cuando el muera por el tumor diagnosticado no le quiten sus derechos de esposa. Posteriormente casados éste se propone lograr la superación de Angélica en todos los ámbitos de su formación personal posibles, ya que Erasmo está consciente de cómo es el mundo donde le va a tocar vivir (discriminación,humillación, ambición), muchas perdidas se aproximan pues al ser esposa de Erasmo y futura heredera se convierte en el segundo blanco principal del misterioso asesino después de Erasmo y para el cual ella debe estar preparada.

Protagonizada por Daniela Alvarado y Simón Pestana. Cuenta además con las actuaciones estelares de Eileen Abad, Jaime Araque, Alba Roversi, Hilda Abrahamz y Amanda Gutiérrez, Angélica pecado fue un gran éxito por ser el primer melodrama de misterio al estilo de novela Gótica transmitida en Venezuela. En ese momento se convirtió en la telenovela más vista de RCTV y de Venezuela. Justo el día de su capítulo final, el canal de la competencia (Venevision) emitió el certamen del Miss Universo, y por primera vez este canal perdió en sintonía pues toda Venezuela estaba pendiente de conocer la identidad del peligroso asesino en serie, habilmente oculto por el escritor que se aseguro que nadie, ni siquiera los actores de la historia conocieran la verdad hasta grabar el episodio final. Se vendió a 82 países en los cuales el rating fue muy favorecedor también.
