CUANDO ACECHA LA MALDAD - PELICULA DE TERROR ARGENTINA [ ESP-ENG]

Cinefilos de esta comunidad, hoy les quiero comentar esta joyita que se esta exhibiendo en las salas de cines argentinos.. se trata de “cuando acecha la maldad” o en ingles “When evil lurks”… Debo confesar que no soy muy fanática del cine argentino, pero por redes sociales había visto muy buenos comentarios de esta película así que me picó el bichito de la curiosidad… y amigos, les digo: SIN DESPERDICIO!!!

Esta película fue escrita y dirigida por Demián Rugna, quien es conocido por otras obras tales como: Aterrados (2017), No sabés con quien estás hablando (2016) entre otras tantas en las que también participó ya sea como guionista o músico.

Esta historia se ubica en un pueblo alejado de todo, en la que dos hermanos llamados Pedro y Jimmy descubren que en el pueblo donde viven, muy cerca a sus tierras reside un “embichado”, o sea una persona poseída por fuerzas malignas… gracias a esta película descubrí que así se les llama a estas personas en Argentina jaja

Los hermanos se trasladan a esa granja y consiguen un hombre súper obeso en pésimas condiciones de salubridad, con un olor insoportable y supurando pus por todos lados! La escena es realmente asquerosa pero me parece que está muy bien lograda, la idea es provocarte asco y créeme que lo logran jajaja, en un intento por desalojar el mal de esta pequeña aldea y con el temor de que sus tierras pierdan valor, los hermanos desatan un caos tremendo.

Como he dicho en post anteriores, mi genero favorito es el terror/suspenso y muy pocas películas logran hacerme saltar, este director no se mide con respecto a esto, utiliza todos los recursos posibles para llevarte al terror, al miedo, siento que no es como el resto de películas como “El conjuro” que por la música o por los tipos de tomas en cámara te puedes imaginar cuando saldrá algo raro… no es nada predecible; no quiero hacerles spoiler pero hay varias escenas que me hicieron saltar de mi asiento e incluso se me cayeron mis cotufitas  jajajaja

Durante el desarrollo de esta historia veremos a Pedro intentar huir del mal que él y su hermano inocentemente trajeron al pueblo, ya que para sacar al “embichado” se requería de un limpiador que posea habilidades y conocimientos específicos para hacer este trabajo de forma correcta. El actor Ezequiel Rodríguez, quien da vida a Pedro, logra transmitir el desespero y la angustia por intentar corregir su error y además ayudar a sus hijos y ex pareja también a huir del pueblo. Que dicho sea de paso, la actriz Virginia Garófalo que interpreta a Sabrina, la ex mujer de Pedro, se luce totalmente, se presenta este personaje como una mujer harta de los constantes acosos de su ex (Pedro) a pesar de que aparece muy poco tiempo en escena.
En cuanto a Jimmy, el hermano de Pedro, interpretado por el actor Demián Salomón, me parece que es un personaje pilar en esta película, lo veremos darle a Pedro toda la fuerza y el ánimo que necesita cuando este ya se ha dado por vencido. No había visto a ninguno de estos actores nunca, no había consumido cine argentino a pesar de tener dos años viviendo en este país, pero si he ido al teatro y hay mucho talento en este país!!

En resumen, para mi la película estuvo muy buena, te va a cautivar desde el primer minuto, te vas a asustar cuando menos lo esperes, te va a generar angustia, todo lo que está bien en la vida del cine terror… el final de la película para mi fue otra cosa, no es como esperas que sea el final de una película de este genero… pero véanla y después lo comentamos! Jaja

I must confess that I am not a big fan of Argentine cinema, but on social networks I had seen very good reviews of this film so I was curious... and friends, I say: NO WASTE!!!
This film was written and directed by Demián Rugna, who is known for other works such as: Aterrados (2017), No sabés con quien estás hablando (2016) among many others in which he also participated either as a screenwriter or musician.
This story is set in a town far away from everything, in which two brothers named Pedro and Jimmy discover that in the town where they live, very close to their land resides an "embichado", that is a person possessed by evil forces... thanks to this film I discovered that this is how these people are called in Argentina haha.
The brothers move to that farm and get a super obese man in terrible sanitary conditions, with an unbearable smell and oozing pus everywhere! The scene is really disgusting but I think it is very well done, the idea is to make you disgusted and believe me they succeed hahaha, in an attempt to evict the evil from this small village and with the fear that their land will lose value, the brothers unleash a tremendous chaos.
As I have said in previous posts, my favorite genre is horror/suspense and very few movies manage to make me jump, this director does not measure himself in this respect, he uses all possible resources to take you to terror, to fear, I feel that it is not like the rest of movies like "The Conjuring" that by the music or by the types of camera shots you can imagine when something weird will come out... it is not predictable at all; I do not want to make you spoilers but there are several scenes that made me jump out of my seat and even my cotufitas fell hahahaha.
During the development of this story we will see Pedro trying to flee from the evil that he and his brother innocently brought to the town, since to remove the "embichado" a cleaner with specific skills and knowledge was required to do this job correctly. Actor Ezequiel Rodriguez, who plays Pedro, manages to convey the desperation and anguish of trying to correct his mistake and also help his children and ex-partner to flee the town. Incidentally, the actress Virginia Garófalo, who plays Sabrina, Pedro's ex-wife, shines as a woman fed up with the constant harassment of her ex (Pedro), even though she appears very little time in the scene.
As for Jimmy, Pedro's brother, played by actor Demián Salomón, I think he is a pillar character in this film, we will see him give Pedro all the strength and encouragement he needs when he has already given up. I had never seen any of these actors before, I had not consumed Argentinean cinema despite having lived in this country for two years, but I have been to the theater and there is a lot of talent in this country!
In short, for me the movie was very good, it will captivate you from the first minute, you will be scared when you least expect it, it will generate anxiety, everything that is good in the life of horror movies... the end of the movie for me was something else, it is not as you expect the end of a movie of this genre... but watch it and then we'll comment!
