Saludos cinefilos! Si como yo, tu eres fan de las películas de misterio, terror y suspenso te recomiendo esta joyita que podrás encontrar en Star+. Si bien, el tema de los extraterrestres suele aburrirme rápidamente, esta historia captó mi atención y me enganchó en cuestión de minutos.

Greetings cinephiles! If like me, you are a fan of mystery, horror and suspense movies, I recommend this little gem that you can find on Star+. While the alien theme usually bores me quickly, this story caught my attention and had me hooked in a matter of minutes.

Lo primero que quiero que sepan, es que esta es una película SIN DIÁLOGOS. Asi que, ojo al dato! No vas a oir mas que un par de "ok" y "no!!" En toda la pelicula! Esto no lo sabia cuando comencé a verla, siempre que parecía que alguien iba a hablar, se inhibía de hacerlo y yo me frustraba jaja 🤣...

The first thing I want you to know is that this is a film WITHOUT DIALOGUES. So, keep an eye out! You're not going to hear more than a couple of "ok" and "no!!!" In the whole movie! I didn't know this when I started watching it, whenever it seemed like someone was going to talk, they were inhibited from doing so and I got frustrated haha 🤣....

Bueno, siguiendo con el relato, comenzamos nuestra historia viendo la vida de Brynn Addams, a quien se ve algo "perturbada" y solitaria después de la muerte de su amiga Maude, a quien Brynn mató cuando tan solo era una niña, de forma accidental (digamos, ya que fue en una pelea y Brynn la golpeó con una piedra en la cabeza 😟). Sin embargo, intenta vivir su vida de la mejor manera que puede... todo parecía estar relativamente normal hasta que una noche, siente ruidos extraños por la casa y comienza a ser asechada por un extraterrestre al que, después de una breve lucha Brynn logra matar.

Well, going along with the story, we start our story seeing the life of Brynn Addams, who is seen somewhat "disturbed" and lonely after the death of her friend Maude, whom Brynn killed when she was just a child, accidentally (let's say, since it was in a fight and Brynn hit her with a rock on the head 😟). However, she tries to live her life the best way she can? everything seemed to be relatively normal until one night, she senses strange noises around the house and begins to be stalked by an alien who, after a brief fight Brynn manages to kill.

Brynn intenta dar aviso en el pueblo sobre la invasión extraterrestre, pues logra darse cuenta de que estos han dejado marcas en el cesped con sus naves espaciales, se dirige a la estación de policia, lo que pareciera ser bastante dificil para ella, ya que es repudiada por todos por los hechos sucedidos hace varios años atras con Maude..

Brynn tries to warn the town about the alien invasion, as she realizes that they have left marks on the grass with their spaceships, she goes to the police station, which seems to be quite difficult for her, since she is repudiated by everyone for the events that happened several years ago with Maude.

Este pareciera ser un pueblo con mucha memoria, Brynn fue practicamente desterrada, vive alejada del pueblo y en constante sufrimiento, recordando a Maude e incluso escribiéndole cartas como si ella aún estuviera viva. Al volver a casa, nuestra protagonista lucha con un par de alienigenas más a quienes logra derrotar, sin embargo Brynn finalmente es capturada por un extraterrestre mucho mas grande qur camina como una araña y es abducida por la nave, luego se despierta encuentrandose rodeada por aliens, quienes han estado observandola y apreciando su dolor y sufrimiento.

This seems to be a town with a long memory, Brynn was practically banished, she lives far away from the town and in constant suffering, remembering Maude and even writing her letters as if she were still alive. Upon returning home, our protagonist fights with a couple more aliens whom she manages to defeat, however Brynn is finally captured by a much larger alien that walks like a spider and is abducted by the ship, then wakes up finding herself surrounded by aliens, who have been watching her and appreciating her pain and suffering.

Pronto le meten en la boca una especie de araña feisima que Brynn posteriormente se extrae lo que termina "control", luego esta araña se convierte en otra Brynn, AHORA SON DOS BRYNN! Sin embargo, la Brynn original, logra matarla. Literlamente, ella se enfrentó a sí misma.

Soon a kind of ugly spider is put in her mouth, which Brynn later extracts and ends up "controlling", then this spider turns into another Brynn, NOW THERE ARE TWO BRYNN! The original Brynn, however, manages to kill it. Literally, she faced herself.

Brynn fue capaz de evitar ser abducida en varias oportunidades, lo que capta la atención de los extraterrestres, pareciera que logran apreciar algo en ella, en su fortaleza, por ello la regresan y le permiten continuar con su vida sin ser "poseida", esto le permite a Brynn vivir una vida totalmente normal, sin ser rechazada por los habitantes del pueblo, quienes tienen en su garganta una especie de araña, que nos deja ver que estos han sido capturados por los aliens.

Brynn was able to avoid being abducted on several occasions, which captures the attention of the aliens, it seems that they manage to appreciate something in her, in her strength, so they return her and allow her to continue with her life without being "possessed", this allows Brynn to live a totally normal life, without being rejected by the villagers, who have in their throat a kind of spider, which lets us see that they have been captured by the aliens.

Al final podemos observar una Brynn feliz, resplandeciente, encontró su lugar en medio de un lugar totalmente invadido por extraterrestres. Para algunos esto podría ser un final feliz, sin embargo a mi me parece un poco triste triste... juzgar a una persona por algo que sucedió hace tantos años, sin mencionar que ella solo era una niña me parece que es un poco cruel. Peeeeeero, eso no quita el peliculón que es!

In the end we can see a happy, glowing Brynn, she found her place in the middle of a place totally invaded by aliens. For some this could be a happy ending, but for me it seems a bit sad... judging a person for something that happened so many years ago, not to mention that she was just a child seems a bit cruel to me. But, that doesn't take away from what a great movie it is!

Esta película me dejó pensando un poco sobre los juicios que se forma la gente de nosotros, y de cuan necesaria es la compañía de otras personas para vivir, pues si bien se observa a Brynn llevar su vida "normal", también la observamos sumida en sus recuerdos mas dolorosos y soportando las miradas de sus pares quienes la juzgan sin saber cuanto esta situación le ha dolido a ella y le ha afectado, sin contar con ningún tipo de contención ni alivio mas que esas cartas que escribe a Maude, que sabemos que nunca obtendrán respuesta...

This film left me thinking a little about the judgments that people make about us, and how necessary is the company of other people to live, because although Brynn is seen leading her "normal" life, we also see her immersed in her most painful memories and enduring the looks of her peers who judge her without knowing how much this situation has hurt her and has affected her, without any kind of support or relief other than those letters she writes to Maude, that we know will never get an answer...
