La pregunta es:

Existirá el Crimen Perfecto?

Supongamos que eres un joven Abogado y que te encuentras en la cúspide de tu carrera, cuentas con un buen empleo, pues estás a punto de ser contratado por la mejor firma de abogados del distrito, pero además de eso te han nombrado fiscal del distrito para llevar un polémico caso de intento de homicidio el cual judicialmente está prácticamente ganado, tenemos al detenido y al arma homicida con sus huellas y una confesión firmada por el.

¿Qué podría salir mal?

Suppose you are a young lawyer and you are at the top of your career, you have a good job, you are about to be hired by the best law firm in the district, but besides that you have been appointed district attorney to take a controversial case of attempted murder which judicially is practically won, we have the detainee and the murder weapon with his fingerprints and a confession signed by him.

Queridos amigos reciban un cordial saludo. El día de hoy vengo a hablarles de (Fracture) o el crimen perfecto. Una película realmente buena en dónde el género del suspenso, crimen, drama y las ciencias forenses convergen en un mismo punto para brindar al espectador de un ambiente tenso, lleno de suspenso e interrogantes la cuales al transcurrir pensarás haber resuelto algunos de los enigmas de la trama.

Dear friends, receive a cordial greeting. Today I come to talk about (Fracture) or the perfect crime. A really good movie where the genre of suspense, crime, drama and forensic science converge at the same point to provide the viewer with a tense atmosphere, full of suspense and questions which to elapse you will think you have solved some of the enigmas of the plot.

Fracture es un film del año 2007 interpretada por el veterano actor Anthony Hopkins, junto con Ryan Gosling quienes son los protagonistas principales de la trama, luego nos encontramos con David Strathairn quien tendrá un papel secundario, la película fue dirigida por Gregory Hoblit.

La película nos muestra a Ted (Anthony Hopkins) quien es un brillante ingeniero el cual tiene una capacidad intelectual extremadamente brillante, pero también nos muestra como este personaje es un hombre egocéntrico y calculador, el cual no ejecuta algún acto al azar, al contrario todo lo realiza con una premeditación casi perfecta. Por otro lado, vemos a Willy (Ryan Gosling) un joven, pero muy arrogante Abogado con una carrera prominente, pues profesionalmente ha logrado desenvolverse de una manera muy exitosa, haciéndolo llegar a una de las firmas de abogados más prestigiosas del distrito y convertirse en el Adjunto del fiscal del distrito. Willy y Ted comparten una personalidad algo similar, pues el Ego y la gran inteligencia son factores que están presentes en ambos personajes, esto los llevará a jugar al gato y al ratón en dónde solo el más hábil logrará ganar.

The film shows us Ted (Anthony Hopkins) who is a brilliant engineer who has an extremely brilliant intellectual capacity, but also shows us how this character is a self-centered and calculating man, which does not execute any random act, on the contrary everything is done with an almost perfect premeditation. On the other hand, we see Willy (Ryan Gosling) a young, but very arrogant lawyer with a prominent career, because professionally he has managed to develop in a very successful way, making him reach one of the most prestigious law firms in the district and become the Deputy District Attorney. Willy and Ted share a somewhat similar personality, as Ego and great intelligence are factors that are present in both characters, this will lead them to play cat and mouse where only the most skillful will win.

La película comienza mostrándonos a Ted un brillante y millonario ingeniero con una vida envidiable con muchos lujos, luego vemos cómo Ted llega a una especie de hotel en dónde ve a una mujer con un hombre en una piscina, Ted entra a la habitación y observa a su alrededor. La película se corta y luego vemos a la misma mujer que llega a su casa, al entrar se consigue con Ted, es allí donde nos enteramos de que la mujer es la esposa de Ted.

The film begins showing us Ted a brilliant and millionaire engineer with an enviable life with many luxuries, then we see how Ted arrives at a kind of hotel where he sees a woman with a man in a pool, Ted enters the room and looks around. The movie cuts and then we see the same woman arriving at his house, when she enters she meets Ted, it is there where we learn that the woman is Ted's wife.

Ambos sostienen una acalorada discusión y Ted termina accionando su pistola en la cara de su esposa. Rato después llega la policía quien acordona toda el área y piden a Ted que se entregue, Ted accede y pide negociar su entrega con el inspector de la policía. El inspector de la policía entra y ambos se despojan de sus armas para negociar la entrega. El inspector al ver el cuerpo de la mujer corre a socorrerla, es allí cuando la policía entra y captura a Ted.

The two have a heated argument and Ted ends up firing his gun in his wife's face. A short time later the police arrive and cordon off the area and ask Ted to surrender, Ted agrees and asks to negotiate his surrender with the police inspector. The police inspector enters and both of them take off their weapons to negotiate the surrender. Luego vemos a Willy un talentoso abogado quien está a punto de ser contratado por una prestigiosa firma de abogados, a Willy le entregan el caso de Ted el cual a simple vista lo dio como otro caso ganado, pues tenía el arma con sus huellas, la confesión firmada y al detenido en custodia de la policía.

Then we see Willy a talented lawyer who is about to be hired by a prestigious law firm, Willy is handed Ted's case which at first glance he gave as another case won, as he had the gun with his fingerprints, the signed confession and the detainee in police custody.

La judicialización de Ted avanza y en la audiencia del juicio Ted solicita al Juez que no desea que ningún defensor público lo represente, pues el mismo se defenderá en juicio, tanto el juez como la fiscalía le advierten de la situación, pero él confía en sus capacidades intelectuales.

Ted's prosecution progresses and at the trial hearing Ted asks the judge that he does not want any public defender to represent him, since he will defend himself at trial. Both the judge and the prosecution warn him of the situation, but he trusts in his intellectual capacities.

La investigación poco a poco se va convirtiendo en un caso cangrejo, estos casos donde las investigaciones en vez de avanzar hacia delante comienzan es a marchar hacia atrás, pues las pruebas comienzan a mostrar inconsistencia creando vacíos probatorios. Este expediente es enviado a Ted para preparar su defensa, es en este momento cuando Willy y Ted se reúnen y sostienen una conversación muy interesante en dónde los aspectos psicosociales de cada uno salen a relucir de manera estupenda.

The investigation gradually turns into a crab case, these cases where the investigations instead of moving forward begin to march backwards, as the evidence begins to show inconsistency creating evidentiary gaps. This file is sent to Ted to prepare his defense, it is at this moment when Willy and Ted meet and have a very interesting conversation where the psychosocial aspects of each one come to light in a great way.

Llega el día del juicio y es aquí donde podemos deleitarnos con el desenlace del asunto. La fiscalía presenta todas sus pruebas, evacua testigos, interroga expertos y vemos cómo Ted aprovecha cada uno de estos elementos para tratar de establecer su defensa.

Análisis personal.

A mi criterio personal la trama está muy bien elaborada cuenta con un argumento bastante realista en lo que representa al análisis de pruebas, argumentación y vacíos legales, los cuales pueden estar presentes en el orden judicial de cualquier país. La actuación de Hopkins es brillante, nos muestra una personalidad fría, premeditada, con un coeficiente intelectual tenebroso muy similar a la personalidad del villano Hanibal Lecter el cual también es interpretado por él. Por otro lado, vemos a vanidad y la arrogancia de Gosling la cual hace que el choque con Hopkins sea un choque de Titanes.

Personal analysis.

In my personal opinion, the plot is very well elaborated with a very realistic argument in what represents the analysis of evidence, argumentation and legal loopholes, which can be present in the judicial order of any country. Hopkins' performance is brilliant, he shows us a cold, premeditated personality, with a dark IQ very similar to the personality of the villain Hanibal Lecter which is also played by him. On the other hand, we see Gosling's vanity and arrogance which makes the clash with Hopkins a clash of Titans.

La película nos introduce minuto a minuto en la trama, creando en el espectador mucha empatía con cada uno de los personajes, a medida que avanza podemos conocer detalles y datos impactantes los cuales van dando un giro inesperado a cada una de nuestras teorías. Esto hace que en ningún momento se pierda el interés en la película, algo que muy pocas películas logran captar.

The film introduces us minute by minute in the plot, creating in the viewer a lot of empathy with each of the characters, as it progresses we can know details and shocking data which are giving an unexpected twist to each of our theories. This means that at no time we lose interest in the film, something that very few films manage to capture.

Esta película me ha encantado y es altamente recomendable si te gustan esas películas de finales inesperados y con un alto contenido forense, pues de eso se trata de un crimen perfecto.
