Samaritan 2022 Film Review - Rambo has now become an invincible superhero

Sometimes a film can look good because a great actor is the main actor, but it must be underlined that not all films starring great actors have a good story, such as the film entitled Samaritan starring Sylvester Stallon or who is better known as Rambo.

This film will be released in 2022 and has a score of 5.7 out of 10 points according to the IMDB site. This film by director Julius Avery stars Sylvester Stallon, Javon Walton, Pilou Asbaek and several other great actors.

The synopsis of this film tells the story of a legendary superhero from the past who was thought to be dead and turns out to still be alive today as an ordinary person. The following is a short summary of the story from the 101 minute film Samaritan.

This film is set in a city called Granite City, thousands of years ago there was a fight between two siblings who had superpowers, their names were Samaritan the good superhero and Nemesis the evil superhero.

The two of them always fight because they have different opinions about how to see the world, the entire city population even feels afraid due to their fights.

The house of this superhero family was even burned down by people because they were afraid that if these two people who had superpowers continued to fight, it would threaten the safety of the city because the damaging effects of their powers were very powerful.

However, they all survived the fire that night, until finally they continued their fight at a power plant which resulted in one of the 2 superheroes dying.

Back to the present, a child named Sam really idolizes a superhero named Smaritan because of the kindness of this superhero. Sam lives with his mother in an apartment, now they are having financial problems because they cannot pay the rent for the apartment where they live.

Until finally Sam worked for a gangster in his neighborhood to get money so Sam could help his mother pay the rent. However, the Gangster Boss where Sam works, named Cyrus, is very obsessed with an evil superhero named Nemesis, because according to him Nemesis is a right thinker because he wants to take revenge against an unfair world like Cyrus.

Sam also has a neighbor, an old man named Joe, who works as a very kind garbage man. Several times when Sam made mistakes he was beaten by Cyrus and his men.

However, Sam is always helped by his good neighbor named Joe. Seeing old Joe's skill in fighting makes Sam believe that Joe is Samaritan who is a superhero from the past.

Cyrus and his men were very angry because they lost to Joe, so they finally robbed Nemesis of an ancient weapon which was closely guarded by the police. The weapon was a large hammer and also a mask.

When Cyrus managed to rob the weapon, Joe felt like something big was happening. Until the time came when Cyrus kidnapped Sam to lure Joe to come to his place.

Knowing that Sam was kidnapped by Cyrus, Joe immediately approached Cyrus at his base to save Sam, a great fight began, Joe was hit several times by hard blows from the Nemesis Hammer used by Cyrus.

However, with his fighting skills, Joe managed to seize the hammer and killed Cyrus. This is where a bit of a backward storyline is shown, that Joe is actually Nemesis, and the one who died when they fought in the past was Samaritan.

However, now Nemesis has repented because he is aware of the evil after killing his good brother Samaritan, now Joe has decided to live as a good person who is useful for other people.

My opinion about this Smartian film

This is a very fun film to watch, even though the main actor is Sylvester Stallon, the storyline of this film is very boring, the choice of locations and each character in this film also looks ordinary and not interesting at all.

Overall I don't like this film, the superhero action looks ridiculous and not like other superhero films from Hollywood. The storyline is flat and only involves three main actors, making anyone who watches this film likely feel bored.

However, I really appreciate actor Sylvester Stallon who is a Hollywood legend in this film, but Sylvester Stallon doesn't seem suitable for playing superhero films, he is more suitable for playing action films such as war, special forces and also those related to the military.

Continue to do good while you still have the chance, change your mindset now if you feel like you are still a bad person until now, never feel like it is too late to be good because kindness can make our lives better and more useful.

Just like Nemesis who wants to change into a good person, even though in the past he had a very evil mindset, but he wants to suppress his ego to change into a good person and help many people around him, you need to know that good always wins over evil.
