Caramelo (A Brazilian Movie)

Hello everyone, especially to all movie lovers out there.
In this post, I will share another interesting and heartwarming film that I recently watched on Netflix. It is a Brazilian drama film entitled Caramelo.

The film follows Pedro, a young and ambitious chef, and a stray dog he encountered, whom he named Caramelo due to his caramel-coloured coat.

Pedro is an aspiring and talented young chef who wants to open his own restaurant and is close to achieving his dreams, but was sadly diagnosed with a terminal illness that derailed his dream of opening his own restaurant. Pedro was devastated, and it's hard for him to tell anyone about his health situation, most especially to his mom.

However, the stray dog whom he rescued and adopted helped him face his diagnosis and to open up to others. As a result, Pedro begins to let people into his life. He also found a kind and loyal friend who also suffered from cancer. And later on, with Caramelo by his side, Pedro fought for his illness and was able to confess to his mother and to his girlfriend.

This is a good movie, light-hearted, with some funny and chaotic moments with Caramelo and other dogs.

If you're a dog lover like me, this movie is perfect for you. Dogs have proven their loyalty and unconditional love to us humans. This film reflects that fact, so it is very relatable.

In this story, Caramelo's love for Pedro gives him comfort, courage, and hope during his darkest time, and I believe this happens in real life, which I can relate to. We have two dogs, and I find both of them very comforting, especially when I’m not feeling well.

I'd love to recommend this to you if you're a fan of this kind of movie. Caramelo is not only a light-hearted movie but also a heartwarming one.

For me, it's worth watching.
