Lol yeah I used to work as an extra too for a short time and it's really saddening how people don't have time management down pat in such cases. Haven't been to any shooting abroad so I wouldn't know if it's the same but you have shared that it is. Haven't seen that series too so am just basing it on my local experience.

I think the time management is just too tough to coordinate with so many things that can go wrong. I doubt this will ever change. We frequently hear about film sets that go far over their original intended amount of time and nobody really cares how the extras feel about this. One set I was on I got paid a couple hundred dollars to turn up, sat around in costume all day, and never even was involved in anything. These films normally have so much money that the $200 that each extra on standby gets is a very small part of the budget and they don't really even care.

At least they pay some money for extras of the day. That's good enough.
