Hey everyone I'm going to be writing about my favorite 80s TV show.
And my favorite 80s TV show is family matters, but I don't know it's qualified to be called an 80s TV show seeing as it aired from 1989 up until 1998. But I do know that I use to watch it as a kid and I still enjoy it and laugh all the time.

The Origins
The family Matters is a family-based film and is also a spin-off of the then-popular tv-show perfect strangers, focusing on the life of the character Harriette Winslow who was a supporting character on the perfect strangers.

It featured a lot of characters that were perfect in their roles, but for me, the character that stuck the most would have to be Steve Urkel.

To me Steve Urkel is a total riot, I would tune in every Friday just to watch him in character, I mean there were a lot of things going on in the show that I didn't understand as a child but what I did understand was those striking little one-liners delivered by this character(Steve Urkel)such as
"Did I do thaaat?" Or "can I have some cheeeeese?", together with his body language, it would just keep me laughing all through the show.

The family matters show which was supposed to be about family matters of Harriette Winslow and her family but slowly turned into the Urkel show and I loved it.
But as time passed I rapidly lost touch with the show and even though I stopped watching the show, the voice of the iconic Jaleel White (Steven Urkel) "did I do that" still played heavily in my memory.

The most interesting fact I discovered not so long ago was that the character Steve Urkel was supposed to appear for just one episode of the family matters but ended up making the show his, as he went from one-time character appearance to main character position.
Jaleel white who played Steve Urkel did wonders for the show, his presence alone in the show made it one of my all-time favorites.

Don't get me wrong the Winslow family had their one fair share of Adventures and misadventures but in the end, without Steve Urkel, the show wouldn't have mattered.

I used to watch this show then and I’ve been trying to remember the title! The Family Matters it is then. Honestly, I enjoyed it because of the guy with the squeaky voice, Steve. He dressed funny and talked funny.
