Questioning the Multiverse| Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness

DR. STRANGE in the MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

I have seen stranger things but this is not one of them. This is just another case of I need to grab that money syndrome.

I don't know if any of you have watched the previous doctor strange. But if you have then you surely agree that it is a better movie than this. Because they had something to prove. Now they are just showing off stupid plots patched with amazing video effects.

It's a movie that strongly builds around the theory of the multiverse and interdimensional travel, as well as witchcraft and magic.

The movie starts quite entertainingly with alternate Dr. Strange and America Chavez running for their lives as they are being chased through what seems to be a shattered universe, to obtain a glowing book at the center of the wrecked universe.
Their failure leads to America Chavez accidentally creating a portal that transports them to another dimension where our Dr. Strange resides...

And guys that's where the movie crashes for me... I don't know about you but from the moment our very own Strange took charge of the screentime, there were a lot of questionable things like

• Why are you forcing me to agree with your love life? Like bro, I've watched your origin story and unlike spiderman, you don't even have a love life to stand on.
  Sadly it's true, I would rather see him focus on a new love interest while he's still getting over the effects of the old one. That's a better plot cause then I would get two points of view.

• Next, there's the case of Dr.Strange going up against a gigantic octopus creature with his bare hands and a magical lasso. ... You may be asking, what are you saying? But if you watch the movie closely you will notice that Strange hand enough time to conjure a magical giganticbeing just to eat a thrown car. But couldn't conjure one to eat the magical one-eyed octopus.
  And if you think that two giants fighting would cause a lot of damage. Then you need to rewatch that fight because people died bro.

..That whole fight was just a big cruise.

• Then there is the case of the memory reader in a different universe, that reads your precious memories for a little price. I didn't see it charge Chavez or Strange for showing us the "precious memories" of their life. Who knew computers could be that dumb.

• Now, the problem of the portal opening. Please is strange aware that he can open portals to another dimension or is he just acting surprised when Chavez said she could do it? Because I remember spiderman's Chubby friend opening a portal for the iconic spidermen to walk into a solo movie and turn it into a triple threat. And it would be stupid if a chubby guy with zero magic skills knew how to do it and two sorcerers supreme lack the knowledge.

But even with all the craziness and questionable decisions. The movie still has its moments like the introduction of the Illuminati. The Illuminati show-off fight against Wanda was terrible in an awesome, epic, and gangster way.
This scene along with the opening scene were the only highlights of the movie. All other scenes were just playful jokes.

But I must also add that the video effects team outperformed themselves as usual although for the first time I did catch them in a lie

Finally, despite the messy plot, I would still recommend this movie for a chilflex because despite its messiness. It still lives up to its name DR. Strange in the Multiverse of madness
