Sounds of Freedom with my grandparents | My impressions of the film [ESP-ENG]

El sábado pasado tuve la oportunidad de salir a ver una película en el Cine con mis bellos abuelitos. Que recuerde, es primera vez que salimos a compartir todos juntos, así que me encargué de estar muy presente y disfrutármelos al máximo. Mi tía me había comentado que quería ver Sonidos de la Libertad en la pantalla grande, y gracias a unos cupones que me regalaron (que al final no funcionaron jajaj, pero al menos fueron la excusa para que esto sucediera) le dije a mi tía para ir y que mis abuelos también nos acompañaran. Y pues así fue!

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to go out to see a movie at the cinema with my beautiful grandparents. As far as I remember, it was the first time we all went out to share together, so I made sure to be present and enjoy them to the fullest. My aunt had told me that she wanted to see Sounds of Freedom on the big screen, and thanks to some coupons that I got (which in the end didn't work out hahaha, but at least they were the excuse for this to happen) I told my aunt to go and that my grandparents would also accompany us. And so it was!

Ese día apenas terminé de trabajar me fui corriendo al Cinex del CC. El Recreo donde ya me estaban esperando; compramos nuestro respectivo combo de Cotufas y Refrescos para acompañar y enseguida entramos a la Sala. Cabe destacar que a mi me llovió en el camino, pero nada fue impedimento claramente, jajaja. Cuando entramos a la sala solo nos perdimos de una que otra propagando, así que a pesar de mi corre corre, todo salió muy bien jaja. Ahora si, sobre la película... no quiero hacer mucho Spoiler por si aún no la has visto, ya que quisiera invitarte a hacerlo porque de verdad, es una de las mejores películas que existen!

Sonidos de Libertad es basada en una historia de la vida real, protagonizada por Jim Caviesel, interpretando a Tim Ballard (en la vida real, Timothy); producida en conjunto con el actor, productor y activista político Mexicano, Eduardo Verástegui. Esta maravillosa película está enfocada en el Tráfico y Explotación Sexual Infantil, el delito con mayor auge y gravedad de este siglo XXI. Tim Ballard es un exagente de los EE.UU que atrapaba a los consumidores de pornografía infantil. En la película muestran una escena de una biblioteca donde se encuentran ordenadas por carpetas según cada país, en especial de Centro América, fotos de víctimas infantiles; la cual me generó impotencia y muchísimo asombro al darme cuenta que es algo totalmente real e inhumano la trata de niños. En serio hasta una parte de ti al ver eso, aún le cuesta creer que sea posible de esa manera...

Tim llega a un punto donde siente la necesidad de hacer algo más, saber la fuente de donde se dan esos secuestros y rescatar a la mayor cantidad de niños que pudiese. Renuncia a su trabajo, y toma el caso particular de dos hermanos (protagonistas también de la historia, Miguel y Rocío) que fueron secuestrados en Honduras, y pues en esa misión se basa la película. Tim viajó hasta Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, lugar donde se encuentran muchos de estos delicuentes y no descansa hasta conseguir a Rocío, que había sido vendida a un territorio rebelde.

Demás está decir que la película tiene escenas muy fuertes y conmovedoras, yo salí con mucha rabia y resentemiento (que no esperé) del cine por la existencia de hombres tan babosos que pueden ser capaces de abusar sexualmente de una niña o niño 10 o más veces al día. Y además, por pensar en el solo hecho de que existen decenas de "hombres" que realizan comentarios o miran a una mujer desde el punto de vista sexual diariamente en la calle (si, me ha pasado), que desde mi punto de vista, no están lejos de ser parte de esa mafia tan terrible... pero en fin, ya desahogado eso, me tranquilizó el hecho de que existan personas interesadas en parar con esa situación y promover mensajes de conciencia y educación hacia las nuevas generaciones y padres, para que cuiden de sus niños de publicidades, personas y ofertas engañosas.

That day as soon as I finished work I went running to the Cinex of the CC. El Recreo where they were already waiting for me; we bought our respective combo of Cotufas and soft drinks to go with it and then we went to the movie theater. It is worth mentioning that it rained on the way, but nothing was clearly an impediment, hahaha. When we entered the theater we only missed one or another spread, so despite my running around, everything went very well haha. Now, about the movie... I don't want to make too much Spoiler in case you haven't seen it yet, because I would like to invite you to do it because it's really one of the best movies out there!

Sounds of Freedom is based on a real life story, starring Jim Caviesel, playing Tim Ballard (in real life, Timothy); produced in conjunction with Mexican actor, producer and political activist, Eduardo Verástegui. This wonderful film focuses on Child Sex Trafficking and Exploitation, the fastest growing and most serious crime of the 21st century. Tim Ballard is a former U.S. agent who used to catch child pornography consumers. In the by folders according to each country, especially in Central America, photos of child victims; which film they show a scene of a library where they are ordered generated in me impotence and a lot of astonishment when I realized that child trafficking is something totally real and inhumane. Seriously, even a part of you, when you see that, still finds it hard to believe that it is possible in such a way....

Tim reaches a point where he feels the need to do something else, to find out the source of these abductions and rescue as many children as he can. He resigns from his job, and takes the particular case of two siblings (also protagonists of the story, Miguel and Rocio) who were kidnapped in Honduras, and the film is based on that mission. Tim traveled to Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, the place where many of these criminals are found, and did not rest until he found Rocío, who had been sold to a rebel territory.

Needless to say that the movie has very strong and moving scenes, I left the theater with a lot of anger and resentment (which I did not expect) for the existence of such slimy men who are capable of sexually abusing a girl or boy 10 or more times a day. And also, just thinking about the fact that there are dozens of "men" who make comments or look at a woman from a sexual point of view daily in the street (yes, it has happened to me), that from my point of view, are not far from being part of that terrible mafia... but anyway, once I got that off my chest, I was reassured by the fact that there are people interested in stopping this situation and promote messages of awareness and education to new generations and parents, so that they take care of their children from advertisements, people and misleading offers.

De forma general, mas allá de ser una película con propósito, a nivel de producción, escenarios y actores también es excelente. Vale la pena verla porque te pone al tanto de una realidad que atraviesa el mundo, por más fuerte que sea. Al terminar la película, inclusive, toda la sala quedó en total silencio por lo marcante que es, como que no lo superas a la primera jaja, pero como les digo, es importante tener conocimientos al respecto y ser responsables de la educación y cuidados de nuestros niños posteriormente... In general, beyond being a film with purpose, the production, scenery and actors are also excellent. It is worth seeing because it makes you aware of a reality that crosses the world, however strong it may be. At the end of the movie, even, the whole room was in total silence because of how shocking it is, like you do not get over it the first time haha, but as I say, it is important to have knowledge about it and be responsible for the education and care of our children later ....
