TwoFacesHeros: THOR Versions Compared (ENG/ITA)

Hello everyone, new appointment with the TwoFacesHeros column where I compare the COMICS characters who have had a CINEMATOGRAPHIC transposition with a little insight. I've always found it very fascinating to see comic book characters brought to the cinema screen. Today's character is THOR.

Thor was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and made his debut in "Journey into Mystery" #1. 83 in 1962. Over the years the editorial history of Thor has seen numerous changes and developments, just think that in the first stories Thor was presented as a human man, Dr. Donald Blake, who acquired divine powers when he hit his walking stick , subsequently over the years the character has undergone changes up to the version we know today, or in summary, he is an Asgardian god of thunder and lightning, and is considered one of the founding members of the Avengers. Son of Odin and Frigga, Thor has an adoptive brother Loki, often an enemy of him. After proving himself unworthy of his power, Thor is stripped of his hammer Mjolnir, but manages to regain it and become a hero once again. Thor battles numerous enemies, including the evil entity Thanos, and protects Earth and Asgard from cosmic threats.

COMPARISON OF VERSIONS

The film version of Thor has been very faithful to his comic book counterpart. While there are some aesthetic differences, these are justified by the diversity of the media. In the world of comics artists have more freedom to represent the character and his adventures, while in the world of cinema many more technical and production limits must be taken into consideration.

Despite these differences, the character of Thor has been perfectly adapted to the big screen. His personality and main features of him have remained unchanged, making the character faithful to his comic book counterpart. His arrogance, his loyalty to his friends, and his dedication to justice are just a few examples of the characteristics that have made Thor a beloved character in both comics and movies. The few cosmetic differences have been adjusted to fit the cinematic medium, but the personality and essence of Thor has remained intact. Plus, starring him in a movie has allowed an even larger audience to get to know and love this iconic comic book character.

Nel corso degli anni, la storia editoriale di Thor ha visto numerosi cambiamenti e sviluppi, basti pensare che nelle prime storie, Thor era presentato come un uomo umano, il medico dottor Donald Blake, che acquisiva i poteri divini quando batteva il suo bastone da passeggio, successivamente nel corso degli anni il personaggi ha subito cambiamenti fino ad arrivare alla versione che conosciamo oggi, ovvero riassumendo, è un dio asgardiano del tuono e del fulmine, e viene considerato uno dei membri fondatori dei Vendicatori. Figlio di Odino e Frigga, Thor ha un fratello adottivo Loki, che spesso è il suo nemico. Dopo aver dimostrato di essere indegno del suo potere, Thor viene privato del suo martello Mjolnir, ma riesce a riconquistarlo e a diventare di nuovo un eroe. Thor combatte contro numerosi nemici, tra cui l'entità malvagia Thanos, e protegge la Terra e Asgard dalle minacce cosmiche.

VERSIONI A CONFRONTO

La versione cinematografica di Thor è stata molto fedele alla sua controparte a fumetti. Pur essendo presenti alcune differenze estetiche, queste sono giustificate dalla diversità dei media. Nel mondo dei fumetti, gli artisti hanno più libertà per rappresentare il personaggio e le sue avventure, mentre nel mondo del cinema è necessario prendere in considerazione molte più limitazioni tecniche e di produzione.

Nonostante queste differenze, il personaggio di Thor è stato adattato alla perfezione al grande schermo. La sua personalità e le sue caratteristiche principali sono rimaste invariate, rendendo il personaggio fedele alla sua controparte a fumetti.
