AESTHETICS
One of the first things that stands out is the aesthetic, very reminiscent of the 70s. The color grading of the series really catches the eye — highly saturated, yet softly lit.

I won’t spoil anything, but what I can tell you is that Cassandra is far from being a fairy godmother — she’s more like a Pandora’s box 😣.

If you’re looking for a short story with an entertaining narrative and a touch of suspense, Cassandra is for you. It feels like an episode straight out of Black Mirror.
But beneath the surface, it carries a clever message — it’s not just about technology taking more space than humans, but about opening a conversation on what technology should and shouldn’t control. Giving it a seat at the table is something that must be discussed wisely.

Un miércoles de reseña claro que sí y en esta ocasión hablaremos un poco de la tecnología y del miedo a que esta se salga de control como nos lo muestra Cassandra, una miniserie de Netflix que tiene el suspenso desde la primera escena.
SINOPSIS:
Una familia de llega a su nuevo hogar una casa hermosa pero con una decoración un poco vintage, y más que mueblería cuenta con su propia asistente virtual llamada Cassandra.
Las cosas empiezan a salirse de control desde el momento en el que Cassandra más que ser un robot que hace la comida, se comporta como la matriarca y sus actitudes de control sobrepasan los límites poniendo en peligro a todos.
Estética
De las primeras cosas que llaman la atención es la estética, muy de los 70s. Destaca mucho la colorimetría de la serie con una saturación alta pero con un brillo sencillo.
La mueblería de la nueva casa sí me recuerda mucho a los Supersónicos y creo que sigue la misma línea con el estilo de Cassandra, este robot inteligente que controla todo el hogar y que tiene una pantalla que la humaniza.
Los tonos rojos, naranjas, los patrones y las formas geométricas hacen crear una atmósfera de idealización sobre la "modernidad" que quedó hace mucho en el pasado. Desde ese punto de vista podemos entender que este miedo hacia la tecnología parte también desde la imaginación.
LA HISTORIA:
Una familia con una serie de problemas decide mudarse a un pueblo, en una zona más rural, queriendo conectarse de nuevo entre ellos. No obstante se encuentran con un problema 😵💫 diferente a los que habían conocido antes: Cassandra. Una asistente virtual robotizado y con una personalidad muy bien definida.
Cassandra es real, se mueve por todos los espacios con toda la naturalidad del mundo, no tiene miedo de seguir adelante si algo se le interpone. Es bastante espeluznante escucharla hablar, e interactuar con los demás. Más que adoptarla en el hogar de Samira, ella desea imponer y controlarlo todo. Se hace llamar la hada madrina pero sus deseos son muchos más oscuros de lo que aparenta.
Así que esta tesis, está interesante, tiene elementos bastante clichés que funcionan. Una familia que quiere iniciar de nuevo y empiezan a suceder cosas extrañas. Pero lo interesante de esta propuesta es la dependencia a la tecnología, imagínate adquirir un inmueble inteligente pero que te haga sentir más como la visita que como la dueña. Ese es el efecto Cassandra.
Cassandra
Cassandra no es solo un robot con una pantalla gigante que muestra una fotografía de una mujer delgada y con expresiones duras. Cassandra ha analizado muy bien a la nueva familia y ya sabe cuales son las debilidades de cada quien, con cada episodio la tensión y sus ambiciones se dejan ver.
Me llama la atención este robot, es verdaderamente espeluznante. Inspira miedo desde el principio 😅 y con cada escena en la que aparece empiezas a darte cuenta de que no es nada inocente.
Cassandra no solo es un montón de tornillos, tiene un trauma y una historia de lo más impresionante, este es el centro de su personalidad compulsiva e intimidante. No les haré spoilers, pero lo que puedo decirles es que Cassandra más que un hada madrina es más que una caja de Pandora 😣
CONCLUSIÓN
Si quieres ver una historia corta pero con una narrativa entretenida y con un poco de Suspenso, cassandra es para ti. Parece un episodio sacado de Black Mirror.
Pero con un mensaje de fondo de lo más inteligente, no es solo la puesta en escena de la tecnología tomando más espacio que los humanos. Sino que se plantea una conversación sobre lo que sí debe y no debe controlar la tecnología. Y que tome un lugar en la mesa tiene que ser discutido de forma inteligente.
En fin, es una serie entretenida tiene muchas escenas un poco absurdas y no me parece una propuesta tan innovadora, sin embargo es divertida. La estética de Cassandra es icónica 😝 Le doy un 5/10. No es una serie que volvería a ver.
