Everything Everything is the most beautiful Romance movie ive ever watched, I loved it so much, I was watching the movie and I didn’t even know that I was blushing throughout, it was that good. It’s one of those young romance movies that looks simple on the surface like every other Romance movie that you already know what its all about and how its supposed to make you feel but underneath the romance but the way the movie portrays it is just beautiful.

Everything, Everything is about Madeline Whittier, played by Amandla Stenberg, a teenage girl who has spent almost her entire life inside her house because she has a rare medical condition that makes her extremely vulnerable to infections. Her world is basically her bedroom, her mother, her nurse, the books she reads and her computer. She has never gone to a normal school, never experienced normal teenage life and, most importantly, has never really had the chance to discover what life outside her home is actually like.

As with Romance movies of course there is always another person and that person in this movie is Olly and he moves next door. Olly is basically everything Madeline's life isn't, he is outgoing, adventurous and able to come and go as he pleases. The two begin communicating through messages and eventually develop a friendship that slowly turns into something more and this is where the movie becomes both sweet and frustrating because you have Madeline experiencing all these things for the first time while knowing that even getting close to someone could potentially put her health at risk.
I actually liked the way their relationship develops. It doesn't feel like they simply meet and suddenly become obsessed with each other. They start by talking, learning about each other and slowly becoming important parts of each other's lives, at least that is what the movie tried to communicate to us but I think it was really just love at first sight.

Madeline has spent so much of her life being protected that she has barely had the opportunity to make her own choices. Her mother genuinely believes she is protecting her, but the movie makes you question when protection becomes control. At what point does keeping someone safe also prevent them from actually experiencing life?
That question sits underneath almost everything that happens and Madeline's house started feeling like a character of its own. Everything is controlled. Everything is planned. Everything is designed around keeping her safe and I guess that is where the book gets its name from. There is comfort there, but there is also confinement. She has books, technology, a beautiful room and people who care about her, but none of those things can completely replace the experience of actually going outside and discovering the world.
Then Olly comes along and basically says, “Have you ever considered that maybe there's more to life than this?” and obviously, that's going to cause problems.

The romance itself is pretty sweet, although there are definitely moments where you might find yourself thinking, “Guys, please think this through.” I also liked that Olly isn't presented as some perfect romantic hero. He has his own family problems and struggles, and his life isn't magically better just because he can walk outside whenever he wants. In some ways, both characters are trapped by circumstances they didn't choose. Madeline is physically restricted, while Olly is dealing with problems inside his own home. So even though their lives look completely different, they actually understand each other in ways that other people don't.
The movie also raises an interesting question about parents and fear. Madeline's mother isn't simply a villain who wants to ruin her daughter's life. She genuinely loves her and is terrified of losing her.
There is something incredibly relatable about that desire, even if most of us aren't living in Madeline's situation. Most people have had moments where they felt trapped by circumstances, expectations, fear or other people's decisions. Sometimes you don't even realise how restricted you've become until someone shows you that there might be another way to live. I've promised myself, when i get married im definitely watching this with my wife. Lol, thats how much i just love this movie
