What happens while we sleep or in trance states is something that has always fascinated mankind, and if it hasn't, I have always found it very interesting.

What happens in these states can be random or it can be programmed. It takes a lot of practice, but it can be achieved by anyone with a lot of concentration.

Many only think that when we sleep, nothing happens and that the dreams or nightmares we have are just that, memories of the day to day or longings, desires of people that in real life they cannot realise.

There are endless explanations on the subject.

Eso que pasa en estos estados puede ser al azar o puede estar programado. Lleva mucha práctica, pero puede lograrse por cualquier persona con mucha concentración.

Muchos sólo opinan que cuando dormimos, no pasa nada y que los sueños o pesadillas que tenemos son solamente eso, recuerdos del día a día o anhelos, deseos de las personas que en la vida real no pueden realizar.

Un sinfín de explicaciones hay sobre el tema.

The miniseries Behind Her Eyes is based on the 2017 novel by author Sarah Pinborough, produced by psychologist Steve Lightfoot and directed by Erik Richter Strand.

Unlike many miniseries, it mixes numerous genres. It is a psychological thriller and drama, but at the same time introduces the theme of the paranormal, as one of the central themes is dreams and nightmares.

Louise is a young divorced woman with a son who one night meets David, a prestigious psychologist, by chance. The attraction between them is at first sight.

The next day she learns that he is her new boss and she is his secretary. From then on they begin a clandestine relationship, as David is married to Adele.

This is one of the predominant themes of the miniseries, the love triangle between the three of them, since it is also by chance that Louise and Adele meet and become friends.

This is where the supernatural theme begins to appear. Louise suffers from intense nightmares, making her nights a torture and on the other hand Adele knows things and finds out things that a normal person would not.

In the past, Adele suffered a great trauma as a result of a fire in her home and the death of her parents. David was the one who saved her from that fire. She was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for recovery and there she met Rob, who became her close friend.

Between the two of them they begin to investigate these out of the ordinary issues, and no one else knows about it. They can get out of their bodies when they sleep and that brings them many benefits.

La trama gira en torno a ellos tres, pero coincidiendo con las críticas que se le ha realizado a esta producción, los que parecen los protagonistas principales van perdiendo con el tiempo su atractivo y el personaje que termina resaltando es el de Adele.

Es ahí donde comienza a aparecer el tema sobrenatural. Louise sufre de intensas pesadillas, por lo que sus noches son una tortura y por otra parte Adele sabe cosas y se entera de cosas que una persona normal no lo haría.

En un pasado Adele sufrió un gran trauma como consecuencia de un incendio en su hogar y por consecuencia la muerte de sus padres. David fue el que la salvó de ese incendio. Estuvo internada en un hospital psiquiátrico para su recuperación y allí conoció a Rob de quien se hará su íntimo amigo.

Entre ellos dos comienzan a investigar estos temas fuera de lo normal, y nadie más lo sabe. Pueden salirse de sus cuerpos cuando duermen y eso les trae muchos beneficios.

Adele knows a lot of things, she knows that her husband is cheating on her, she knows who Louise is, she knows everything.

The friendship between Adele and Louise is forged by the common theme they have, nightmares and dreams, plus Rob's intimate diary in which he details very interesting points.

But the question the miniseries doesn't reveal until the end is who Adele is. Is she as disturbed as David says she is, which makes him give her pills to keep her calm? The next intrigue is what became of Rob, who disappeared for some and is dead for others.

A character who, while seemingly very minor, ends up being vitally important to the mysteries that unfold as the story unfolds. He is always present in one way or another.

Adele sabe muchas cosas, sabe que su marido la engaña, sabe quien es Louise, lo sabe todo.

La amistad entre Adele y Louise se forja por el tema en común que ellas tienen, pesadillas y sueños, sumado a un diario íntimo de Rob en el que detalla puntos muy interesantes.

Pero la pregunta que la miniserie no desvela hasta el final es quien es Adele. Será que ella está tan trastornada como dice David, lo que hace que le de pastillas para que esté tranquila. La siguiente intriga es que fue de Rob, quien desapareció para algunos y está muerto para otros.

Un personaje que, si bien parece muy secundario, termina siendo de vital importancia para los misterios que se desarrollan en el recorrido de la historia. Está siempre presente de alguna u otra manera.

Unexpected twists and turns in a very interesting miniseries, which the critics called too long and which should have been more like a film. I agree with that too. With less time it could have avoided slow and even boring moments.

In my case, as I was very interested in the subject, I didn't give much importance to the fact that many of the scenes were too many or simply didn't need to be there.

Intrigue, mystery, suspense, a lot of psychology and for me the most important thing is the supernatural theme, which grabbed me from the beginning of this unusual miniseries. I recommend it if you don't mind that it is sometimes a bit slow, the ending is a surprise.

Giros inesperados en una miniserie muy interesante, que la crítica catalogó como muy larga y que debería haber sido mas bien una película. En eso también coincido. Con menos tiempo se podría haber evitado momentos lentos y hasta de aburrimiento.

En mi caso como el tema me interesaba mucho, no le di mucha importancia al hecho de que muchas de las escenas estaban de más o simplemente no era necesario estuvieran ahí.

Intriga, misterio, suspenso, mucha psicología y para mí lo más importante el tema sobrenatural, que me atrapo desde el comienzo de esta inusual miniserie. La recomiendo si no les importa que sea a veces un poco lenta, el final es sorpresivo.
