One Piece is the best Anime to Live action Adaption Ever Made

I was not thrilled when I heard another one of my beloved animes will get the Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, Avatar, and many other live-action adaptions. My heart hurt at this news. Also, stretchy powers (the main character's power) would look silly on TV.

I did not watch any trailers. I did not look at any earlier reviews. I did not even look at cast interviews. What I did do was watch the first episode. I was not hooked... but I was intrigued. Before
I knew it I was laughing, crying, and saying "Oh I remember that from the manga and anime."

This show is not perfect. It is not as good as the anime or manga, but it has potential. And more importantly, it is faithful to the material. Not a 1 to 1 retelling but it definitely captures the spirit of the show.

OPLA is great. It’s as close as it gets to what was shown on the anime which is really important and very impressive.
But imho I don’t think it’s the best live adaptation out there. Don’t get me wrong, I like it but to label as the best, I’m just not sure.
Throughout the show, I can’t stand listening to it in english so I had to revert back to its Japanese dubbed which shouldn’t have happened. But hey, I like the characters.. they’re all good. And how the story progressed was also nice.

The audio you mean? At some point I just couldn't stand listening in English, I'm sure it's just my preference. I have high regards of OP that's why listening it in English and not liking what I'm hearing made me switch back to Japanese dub. The Japanese dub was nice. The voice actors were the same as the anime.

I did not hear the Japanese version I liked the English one but i can see how that bothered t=you

Normally, I don't really like live action of anime because it may not be as good as the original anime and English audio and stuff sha. But according to your review, it looks good. I'll give it a try.
