CineTV Contest : Movies that rocked my childhood
Ever since I was little I've always been a big fan of movies and TV shows. Whether it is animated or acted it does not matter, I can spend a whole day watching movies or shows as long as food is available. My interest in movies and shows came from my friends. Both my parents rarely watched films when I was younger. Infact, I used to cajole my mum to join me and watch any interesting movie that came out then, and now she's started watching a few series on Zee World and Telemundo. My dad on the other hand is a tough nut to crack, but he'll come around.
When I read the CineTV Contest post, two movies came to mind instantly. The first one being :
Home Alone
Oh, home alone. I can't remember the number of times I watched this movie. I watched, rewatched, watched again, and again, and again, then I watched all the sequels at the time (up till 4). Like most movies the sequels weren't as good as the original and for whatever reason they kept creating new ones (there's a 7 for God Sake), but I enjoyed all the ones I watched.
The major thing that made me love it so much was how funny it was. The tricks and antics he used to avoid them were hilarious.
My favorite part is when he boobytrapped the house to prevent the robbers from getting in.
Back then I wasn't one to draw meaning from movies as long as it was interesting I would watch. But watching him come up with such brilliant ideas was inspiring 😂.
The second movie that rocked my childhood was :
Baby's day Out
I guess I really loved the whole "bad guy trying to get the kid" plot. But what stood out in this movie for me was that it was a "harmless" little baby who didn't know what he was doing, but somehow by luck he was able to escape from the kidnappers all by himself, and at the same time visit all the places his nanny had showed him in his storybook. In Fact it was what he remembered from his story book that helped him get home.
It was really hard picking a favorite scene for this one as there are so many scenes I can remember. But I'll go for the construction site scene.
Though it was exaggerated, this movie made me realize how smart babies were. Infact, I started paying closer attention to babies after watching this movie.
Home Alone and Baby's Day Out are two movies I doubt I'll be able to forget. Writing this post I'm beginning to consider revisiting them.

I saw these two movies, it seems like forever ago. You took me back in time. I want to participate in the contest but I haven't had the time yet. I still can't pick a particular movie though. Thanks for sharing part of your childhood😀
