[ESP/ENG] Sense 8, moved by emotions. (review and presentation)
Hola a todos chicos esta es la primera vez que publico en esta comunidad y me gustaría empezar presentándome, mi nombre es Bárbara soy de Venezuela y simplemente me encantan las series, anime y películas de todo tipo, es un pasatiempo que hago luego de llegar del trabajo y que disfruto bastante. El día de hoy quiero presentarles una serie un poco vieja, de mediados del 2015 para ser exactos y fue transmitida por la plataforma Netflix; creada, escrita y dirigida por las hermanas Wachowski, (así es, los creadores de Matrix), una serie excepcional y que recibió muy buenas críticas de audiencia pero que lamentablemente fue cancelada para su tercera temporada por motivos económicos, quedando de esta manera la trama abierta y no se espera que se continúe, aún así tras la presión de los expectadores en el año 2018 se lanzó un capítulo final especial de 2 horas de duración el cual se encargó de al menos darle un broche a la trama de la serie, que aunque se siente demasiado apresurado al menos no dejó a los fans con las incógnitas luego de la cancelación.
Hi guys, this is the first time I'm posting in this community and I'd like to start by introducing myself, my name is Bárbara, I'm from Venezuela and I just love series, anime and movies of all kinds, it's a hobby I do after coming home from I work and I quite enjoy it. Today I want to introduce you to a somewhat old series, from mid-2015 to be exact and it was broadcast on the platform Netflix; created, written and directed by the Wachowski sisters, (that's right, the creators of Matrix), an exceptional series that received very good audience reviews but was unfortunately canceled for its third season for reasons economic, thus leaving the plot open and it is not expected to continue, even so, after pressure from viewers in 2018, a special 2-hour final chapter was released which was responsible for at least giving it a snap to the plot of the series, which although it feels too rushed at least it did not leave fans with the unknowns after the cancellation.
Sense 8 narra la historia de 8 personas desconocidas alrededor del mundo que descubren que pueden conectarse de manera telepática y percibir sensorialmente lo que sienten los otros, de allí el nombre Sense 8, cada uno con una conexión especial con el otro a pesar de que jamás se habían visto antes y las grandes distancias que les separa de los demás, bajo esta premisa empieza la serie llena de enigmas, diversión, muchísima acción como es típico de las hermanas Wachowski, drama, misterio, poderes sensoriales, así como también otros aspectos más realistas como lo son el racismo, los problemas políticos y económicos, la religión y la identidad de género, la valentía, ser fiel a nuestros amigos y a uno mismo, comprender que todos somos, sentimos y debemos ver a todos los seres humanos del mundo como iguales... en fin, Sense 8 se siente como una escuela para la vida en algunas ocasiones, y con razón dado que es una obra que constantemente inspira a creer en nosotros mismos pero por sobre todo a encontrarnos, a buscar que es lo que en realidad deseamos en nuestras vidas y a analizar quiénes somos realmente.
Sense 8 tells the story of 8 unknown people around the world who discover that they can connect telepathically and sense what others feel, hence the name Sense 8, each with a special connection with the other despite the fact that they had never seen each other before and the great distances that separate them from the others, under this premise the series begins full of enigmas, fun, lots of action as is typical of the Wachowski sisters, drama, mystery, powers sensory, as well as other more realistic aspects such as racism, political and economic problems, religion and gender identity, courage, being faithful to our friends and to oneself, understanding that we all are, feel and must see all human beings in the world as equals... well, Sense 8 feels like a school for life at times, and rightly so given that it is a work that constantly inspires us to believe in ourselves butabove all to find ourselves, to find what we really want in our lives and to analyze who we really are.

-Wolfgang: un Alemán proveniente de Berlín, cerrajero y ladrón de cajas fuertes, con un difícil pasado que le cuesta dejar atrás.
-Nomi: una chica transgénero de la ciudad de San Francisco, bloguera y hacker activista, enfrenta diversas dificultades debido a su orientación sexual.
-Riley: es una DJ Islandesa con un pasado doloroso que tiene que ver con su familia, su mayor apoyo es su padre que es un hombre amoroso y es un músico reconocido en Islandia.
-Sun: una chica Koreana que es la hija del presidente de una gran empresa en Korea, de la cual es vicepresidenta. Luchadora de artes marciales tenaz que enfrenta una vida dura por culpa de su hermano menor.
-Kala: una farmacéutica de Bombay, India, que se ve envuelta en problemas religiosos y amorosos de los cuales le es difícil salir. Una chica dulce y muy bella, si me preguntan es no de mis personajes favoritos.
-Lito: un actor Mexicano, un maestro de la actuación que se ve enfrentado consigo mismo por su falta de valentía y su orientación sexual.
-Will: un policía de la iudad de Chicao, con un fuerte sentido de protección al prójimo, muy bueno en el manejo de armas y deduciendo sucesos como todo buen policía. Su padre es un ex policía alcohólico.
-Capheus: un conductor de autobús de Nairobi, Kenia, con un fuerte sentido de la solidaridad y la amistad, un personaje lleno de amor y que siempre quiere el bien para otros, experto conductor de todo tipo de vehículos. Este es otro de mis persnajes favoritos debido al carisma y bondad que transmite.
Todos ellos se unirán para ombatir a una malvada corporación que desea exterminar a los de su especie, unos seres humanos evolucionados a tal punto que pueden conectarse fácilmente con otros.
There are 8 main characters:
-Wolfgang: a German from Berlin, locksmith and thief of safes, with a difficult past that is difficult for him to leave behind.
-Nomi: a transgender girl from the city of San Francisco, blogger and activist hacker, faces various difficulties due to her sexual orientation.
-Riley: She is an Icelandic DJ with a painful past that has to do with her family, her greatest support is her father who is a loving man and is a renowned musician in Iceland.
-Sun: a Korean girl who is the daughter of the president of a large company in Korea, of which she is vice president. Tenacious martial arts fighter facing a tough life because of her younger brother.
-Kala: a pharmacist from Bombay, India, who is involved in religious and love problems from which it is difficult for her to get out. A sweet and very beautiful girl, if you ask me she is not one of my favorite characters.
-Lito: a Mexican actor, a master of acting who is confronted with himself for his lack of courage and his sexual orientation.
-Will: a policeman from the city of Chicao, with a strong sense of protecting others, very good at handling weapons and deducing events like any good policeman. His father is an alcoholic ex-cop.
-Capheus: a bus driver from Nairobi, Kenya, with a strong sense of solidarity and friendship, a character full of love and who always wants good for others, an expert driver of all kinds of vehicles. This is another of my favorite characters due to the charisma and kindness that he transmits.
All of them will unite to combat an evil corporation that wants to exterminate their kind, human beings evolved to the point that they can easily connect with others.
Todos los personajes nacieron el mismo día y a la misma hora, el 8 de Agosto, por ende comparten también edad que es de 25 años. A mi me resultó fascinante la primera vez que vi esta serie (voy por la segunda), maneja una temática interesante que las hermanas Wachowski siempre manejan en sus obras, como lo son el destino, la conexión con otros, la espiritualidad y la comprensión del yo. Los "sensates" que es como son llamados estos humanos con capacidades fuera de lo común también tienen aliados que no poseen las mismas características, pero han podido encontrar en ellos el amor y el apoyo que necesitan. Cada sensate puede conectarse con los demás y cederle sus habilidades, sea cual sea incluído el idioma, lo cual resulta útil y da el mensaje de que si fuésemos más unidos seríamos capaces de realizar muchas más cosas de las que hacemos normalmente. También pueden visitarse y charlar entre ellos de manera telepática lo cual es bastante impresionante. Sinceramente creo que esta serie y esta idea pudo haberse explotado mucho más y su pudo haber expandido el mundo de Sense 8 junto con su temática, a mi que no me gusta ninguna temática o película de super héroes me hubiese encantado ver y leer más aventuras de los Sensates, pero ya les comenté lo que sucedió y es que la serie tuvo que ser cancelada debido a los altos costes de filmación que conllevaba grabar en Chicago, San Francisco, Islandia, Bombay, Nairobi, Mexico, Londres, Seúl, Berlín, Brasil, Positano, Amsterdam, y París, que se dice poco pero llevar los equipos de filmación alrededor del mundo era bastante costoso y cada episodio de la serie era bastante caro, y por ende Netflix tuvo que cancelar la serie, que a mi parecer sería una segunda obra maestra de las hermanas Wachowski después de Matrix, una verdadera pena, pero aún así a los que hemos sabido apreciarla quedará marcada en nuestra mente y nuestros corazones.
All the characters were born on the same day and at the same time, August 8, therefore they also share an age that is 25 years old. The "sensates" as these humans with unusual abilities are called also have allies who do not have the same characteristics, but have been able to find in them the love and support they need. Each sensate can connect with the others and give them their skills, regardless of language, which is useful and gives the message that if we were more united we would be able to do many more things than we normally do. They can also visit and chat with each other telepathically which is quite impressive. I sincerely believe that this series and this idea could have been exploited much more and it could have expanded the world of Sense 8 along with its theme, since I don't like any theme or superhero movie I would have loved to see and read more adventures of the Sensates, but I already told you what happened and that is that the series had to be canceled due to the high filming costs involved in shooting in Chicago, San Francisco, Iceland, Bombay, Nairobi, Mexico, London, Seoul , Berlin, Brazil, Positano, Amsterdam, and Paris, which is little said but taking the film crews around the world was quite expensive and each episode of the series was quite expensive, and therefore Netflix had to cancel the series, which In my opinion, it would be a second masterpiece by the Wachowski sisters after Matrix, a real shame, but even so, for those of us who have been able to appreciate it, it will remain marked in our minds and hearts.
