Usually people like to talk about their successes in some business and they want to forget about their mistakes but sometimes a sad experience can be funny and instructive for example analyzing my failures in the agricultural field I would like to learn not to make hasty decisions which I will share in this post.

So, running a little ahead I will say that this sad experience in agricultural activity was connected with poultry farming namely with the acquisition of chickens for their further raising, it was supposed to provide the family with eggs and chicken meat.

It all started with the fact that our distant relatives offered us to live in an empty house in a small village far from the city and we thought that a change of scenery would be interesting and we could.

I could use everything that was in the yard and the vegetable garden and outbuildings among which was a chicken coop.

Before this I had never been involved in poultry farming and tried to find out from my employees who had lived half their lives in the village, all the nuances of this business there was no Internet then and there were no other ways to find out all the details... well I also read books and reference books on poultry farming.

I put them in a large cardboard box and put them in the trunk of my Honda hatchback and went to buy bags of chicken feed.

When I dragged three heavy bags of corn, wheat and feed I saw that my well-kept car which I had washed at the car wash the day before and the interior was carefully cleaned had turned into a chicken coop.

The chickens got out of the box and dirty the entire interior with their "games" it was summer. It was hot the stench in the interior of my car was unbearable.

I even thought that it was time to fry these chickens but I held back my emotions.

I then thought that it was good that I decided to go into poultry farming and not livestock farming, the damage from an escaped cow would have been many times greater lol.

As you already understand I got home and placed the chickens in the coop and began to take care of them.

After a few days it seemed to me that the number of chickens had decreased but I attributed this to the fact that there were many nooks on the territory of the fenced chicken coop and I could not gather them all in one place and count them.

But one fine morning I went into the coop and did not see a single chicken there... what do you know about teleportation?

Later I saw my chickens behind a fence on the neighbors' territory lol, they were simply scurrying over the fence, flying up onto a tree branch, as I later found out, no one told me that it was necessary to clip the chickens' flight wings at that age, and this led to their escape.

And the neighbors turned out to be big lovers of birds especially strangers and claimed that these were their chickens and they were not returned to me.

I decided not to start a war with the gypsy camp which turned out to be our neighbors and decided to treat this failure in agriculture as a valuable experience which in the future will not allow me to make similar mistakes.
