You must choose your path! - this phrase is heard by those wandering in the forest or the desert, heard by children in high school, heard by young men after graduating from university, heard by almost everyone at least once in their lives.

Moreover, the beginning of the path is the same for everyone, whether a person or a sprouting bean. They will end up where the sunlight can illuminate them. But the end, the path itself, is different for everyone, and, for the most part, it is not the path we choose, but the path itself that chooses our next destination.

A controversial statement, but arguments are pointless near a small rural cemetery where many people have found their final resting place; their path has ended there.

And the road leading to this cemetery is paved with cobblestones, so uncomfortable to navigate that it's unlikely anyone would choose it, even with other options.

This route is like a verdict, but while it's bad for some, it's good for others.

Auto mechanics at the service station, who are always ready to replace your car's suspension, will definitely have nothing bad to say about this route.

How comfortable it must be to be pressed tightly against a tree branch, feeding on its sap, but the time comes for a new path, which chooses flight from the branch to the ground, and acorns fall into autumn puddles. For them, there are several options: ending up in a boar's stomach, or taking root and beginning the journey of a new oak tree, and they don't choose this path themselves.

People sometimes envy the path of others, simply because it's further proof that they couldn't have chosen the same path, successful and straightforward. Such a path didn't exist for them; apparently, at that moment, theirs had run out.

And animals, who also have very different paths, are not familiar with envy, but they also do not choose their own path, and people think that, supposedly, they can choose a path, if not for themselves, then for their pets, but here, the path itself decides where they all turn.
