Have you ever watched an old movie but still get drawn to it like it was a newly released movie? Well that happened to me recently. I watched a movie again last night after several years and I felt so drawn in that I just couldn't wait to share.

The movie I am talking about is an Indian epic action film titled Baahubali. This movie is a duology, released in the year 2015 and it featured many great actors and actresses who delivered on their roles pretty well.

If you haven't watched the movie, it can be quite confusing as the first part of this movie begins with Mehendra Baahubali also named Shiva, the adopted son of Sanga who was the wife of a small village chief. He is the heir apparent to the throne of Mahusmati kingdom but he is unaware of this and lives as a simple village boy.

Mehendra Baahubali was plotted against at birth by his own uncle who wanted the throne for himself but his grandmother sacrificed her life to save his, thus ensuring that their kingdom of Mahismati, had a successor.

The first part of the movie shows Shiva's life and achievements while the second part reveals the true story about his father Crown Prince Amehendra Baahubali, his achievements, prowess and amiability with the people. The movie concludes with the crowning ceremony of Mehendra Baahubali as the long awaited king of Mahismati kingdom.

The movie plot reveals the twists, turns and the workings of fate. Somehow, this movie's plot reminds of the fact that no one can truly change their destiny. If a person is destined for greatness, then no matter the situation that person might grow up in or even be at the moment, no matter the passage of time, that person will surely find a way to shine and get to greatness.

Baahubali is a great movie that speaks about Loyalty, Filial piety, Cherished bonds Justice and Destiny but it also reveals the heart of wickedness and how it operates through manipulative tactics and schemes.

I enjoyed the fight scenes a lot because Baahubali had superhuman strength and those enemies who dared attack him always met his hard, cold fists. His synchronization with the Kattapa, his guard, was very pleasing as it shows that true love can cover status differences.

I also liked the fact that good prevailed at the end with Baahubali's uncle dying a deserving death and the kingdom of Mahusmati was restored from tyrannical rule to a peaceful rule under Mehendra Baahubali.

I rate this movie an 8/10. It was and still is a good epic love story.

Oh wow, I watched the first part a few months ago and the starting song when that woman carrying baby Baahubali drowning at the sea is still vivid in my head, that scene was really epic and the accompanying song had very profound lyrics, the river of life, just flowing endlessly, etc.

The woman holding the baby happened to be his grandmother who died trying to save him.

The movie is great. You should try watching the sequel 😁

Thanks for reading and leaving a nice comment 👍

Oh, right! I'll definitely try lol, the sequel will give a clearer picture from the less understandable scene it ending of the first movie.

You're most welcome :)
