There are many films whose main theme is about revenge. Although the term is not always explicit in the title of the works, we know that there are many that contain this content.

I particularly remember the films of Leam Neelsem, Desen Washington, among others. I mention these two because they are the actors I liked the most.

Well, those choices until I saw this pair of big screen actors Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx in a film called The Avenger. The movie was released in 2009 but for me it's totally new hahaha.

Son muchas películas cuyo tema principal habla de la venganza. Aunque no siempre el término queda explícito en el título de las obras, sabemos que son muchas las que contienen este contenido.

Particularmente recuerdo las películas de Leam Neelsem, Desen Washington, entre otros. Mencionó estos dos porque son los actores quienes más me han gustado.

Bueno, esas opciones hasta que vi a este par de actores de la pantalla gigante como lo son Gerard Butler y Jamie Foxx en un film titulado El Vengador. La película se estrenó en el año 2009 pero para mi es
totalmente nueva jajaja.

In the movie The Avenger two thieves break into the home of an honest and hardworking man, without further ado the criminals gag him while on the other hand they decide to rape and murder his wife and daughter.

Obviously, it is difficult to say that one does not feel hatred in a situation like this, but what else can one think. This man's fury reached its limit and even more so when he learned that one of the offenders would receive the lesser penalty and would be acquitted.

No soy de hacer spoiler pero esta película invita a ello jajaj ¿ Qué sucede cuando una persona considerada de conducta intachable, de la noche a la mañana se transforma en un monstruo? ¿Se atreverían a anticipar?

En la película El Vengador dos ladrones irrumpen el hogar de un hombre honesto y trabajador, sin medir mayores palabras los delincuentes lo amordazan mientras que por otro lado deciden violar y asesinar a su esposa e hija.

Obviamente, es difícil decir que no se siente odio ante una situación como ésta pero, qué otra cosa se puede pensar. La furia de este hombre llegó al límite y más aún cuando se entera que uno de los deluncuentes recibiría la pena menor y quedará absuelto.

Faced with such indignation, Clyde (Gerard Butler) asks the prosecutor, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) to take the case to trial to give a fair verdict, but for the prosecutor Nick, his reputation comes first and he prefers to keep his record of winning cases.

The prosecutor's attitude annoys Clyde and for this reason he organizes his revenge, decides to act and take justice into his own hands.

Ante semejante indignación Clyde (Gerard Butler) le pide al fiscal, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) que lleve el caso a juicio para dar un veredicto justo, por un error forence se tome la decisión equivocada pero, para el fiscal Nick, su reputación es primero y prefiere mantener su récord de casos ganados.

La actitud del fiscal molesta en demasía a Clyde y por tal motivo organiza su venganza, decide actuar y tomar justicia por sus propias manos.

Who actually commits the crime of murder and is released? How do you explain that?

¿Quien realmente comete el delito de asesinato y violáceo queda en libertad? ¿Cómo se explica eso?

From these moments on, the film takes unexpected turns. It is not a simple revenge that Clyde will execute, there are many suspenseful scenes that will trap you and will not let you move from the couch.

Nobody imagined that the simple engineer had worked in covert operations for the CIA and therefore, managed strategies with which he would achieve his goals, here begins a series of murders that no one manages to control.

I think the performances of the protagonists are masterful. We see especially in the role of the engineer how he goes from being a family man to an unscrupulous psychopath. In this twist we can realize even in our own attitude, how from one moment to another we qualify as good what is really negative. But, this is part of the script and it is so.

A partir de estos momentos la película da giros inesperados. No es una simple venganza la que ejecutara Clyde, son muchas escenas de suspenso la que los atrapará y no los dejará moverse del sillón.

Nadie imaginaba que el sencillo ingeniero había trabajado en operaciones encubiertas para la CIA y por ende, manejaba estrategias con las cuales lograría sus objetivos, aquí comienza una serie de asesinatos que nadie logra controlar.

Me parece que las actuaciones de los protagonistas son magistrales. Vemos sobre todo en el rol ingeniero cómo pasa de ser un hombre de familia a un psicópata sin escrúpulo. En este giro podemos darnos cuenta incluso en nuestra propia actitud, cómo de un momento a otro calificamos de bueno a lo que es realmente negativo. Pero, esto forma parte del guión y es así.

The context and the whole plot as well as the soundtrack were well matched. I think the details of imperfection were few. In the end, although I shouldn't even mention it, the one who we didn't want to die dies, although it was not an easy defeat for anyone.

I recommend this movie because it is truly out of this world. I give it 10/10. I liked it a lot and I would definitely watch it again.

El contexto y toda la trama así como también la banda sonora estuvieron bien acopladas. Creo que los detalles de imperfección fueron pocas. Al final, aunque no debería ni mencionarlo, muere quien no quisiéramos que muriera aunque no fue fácil la derrota para nadie.

Recomiendo esta película porque de verdad es fuera de serie. Yo le doy 10/10. Me gustó mucho y sin duda la volvería a ver.
