After several days I am back to comment my opinion about Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum's new movie.

The film was released in 2022 and now we can watch it on Netflix. Lost City is the masterpiece of the Nee brothers*, Aaron and Adam Nee.

These American filmmakers gave life to a film where adventure, comedy and romance are combined.

The film begins by making us believe that the story is about romance. A close-up photograph makes it look that way, however, when they open the shot to a general shot we see a wonderful image of impact to the retina. From there, the context of the film is revealed.

A budget of $74 million was used to achieve the project and so far $187,651,000 has been raised. Not bad for the Need brothers.

I am a fan of Sandra Bullock, I think I have seen all her movies or a great majority of them. I think that the comedy and romance genre suits her very well, although she has had some extraordinary action characters such as Maximum Velocity.

In this new role of Sandra Bullock alongside Channing Tattum (another great actor), she plays a famous writer who is at the beginning, promoting her book.

This artist has a sparse personality, she does not come across as an outgoing, successful, cheerful or cordial public figure. On the contrary, she seems to be very shy and with certain taboos.

The main figure in her story is Alan Caprison a cover model for the novel that fans want to meet. In fact, Alan completely overshadows her as they premiere the book and Loretta Sage notices. The reaction sets off a series of events that provoke a lot of laughs.

I felt like I was watching one of the Indiana Jones sagas. Maybe that grabs me more. I'm not a fan of all fantasy genres but this particular one is.

Ciudad Perdida was filmed in the Dominican Republic. The landscapes shown are beautiful. That Latin flavor adds an extra nice touch.

Channing Tattum is known for his attributes as a dancer, I had not seen Bullock in this style of Latin dance and for me she did it very well hehe.

_{Me pareció estar viendo una de las sagas de Indiana Jones. Quizá eso me atrapa más. No soy fanática de todos los géneros fantásticos pero esta en particular sí.}

_{Ciudad Perdida fue grabada en República Dominicana. Los paisajes mostrados son hermosos. Ese sabor latino pone un punto extra agradable.}

_{Channing Tattum es conocido por sus atributos como bailarín, no había visto a la Bullock en este estilo de baile latino y para mi lo hizo muy bien jeje.}

From the plot I liked the plot of the novel itself. Love and romance in a historical context full of adventure and fantasy is nice. The atmosphere was spot on, the soundtrack maybe with some weaknesses but good, the supporting actors also highlighted the story.

I think some special effects were not completely neat and also, the fact of resembling the Indiana Jones saga and in turn to the comedy The Proposal starring the same Sandr Bullock, subtracts some points.

For my part I give it 8/10 🌟

_{De la trama me gustó la propia trama de la novela. El amor y el romance en un contexto histórico lleno de Aventuras y fantasía es bien bonito. El ambiente fue acertado, la banda sonora quizá con algunas debilidades pero buena, los actores de reparto también destacaron la historia.}

_{Creo que algunos efectos especiales no quedaron completamente pulcros además, el hecho de asemejarse a la saga de Indiana Jones y a su vez a la comedia La Propuesta protagonizada por la misma Sandr Bullock, le resta algunos puntos}.
