Hello hive friends, I hope you are well 😄, Today I wanted to share my opinion and comparison about True Beauty, k-drama I watched a few weeks ago although I had already read the manwha (webtoon) some time ago, a story that despite being cliché, has positive messages about accepting yourself as you are; I liked this story a lot so I will be sharing my opinions about it here, I hope you like it 😇.

!Hola amigos/as de hive, espero se encuentren bien 😄!, Hoy quería compartirles mi opinión y comparación sobre True Beauty, k-drama que vi hace unas semanas aunque ya había leído el manwha (webtoon) hace tiempo, una historia que a pesar de ser cliché, tiene mensajes positivos sobre aceptarte tal y como eres; esta historia me gusto bastante así que estaré compartiendo mis opiniones sobre la misma aquí, espero les agrade 😇.

Review of k-drama and comparison with webtoon!

The k-drama is a romance, comedy (it's quite funny), and life recounting genre. It is about a girl named Lim Jugyeong who suffers from a lot of social pressure for being considered ugly; she has been receiving negative comments about her physique and bullying since she was a child, which causes her to develop complexes, traumas, low self-esteem and depression to the point of almost committing one of the worst mistakes of her life!

El k-drama es de genero romance, comedia (es bastante divertida), y recuentos de la vida. Trata sobre una chica llamada Lim Jugyeong el cual sufre de mucha presión social al ser considerada fea; ella desde pequeña recibe comentarios negativos sobre su físico y bullying que hacen que desarrolle complejos, traumas, baja autoestima y depresión hasta el punto de ¡casi cometer uno de los peores errores de su vida!

But due to economic problems faced by her family she has to move to a new house, that's when she gets the opportunity to start from scratch (literally) in a new school, and she takes the opportunity to learn makeup and change her appearance becoming the new sensation of the new school!!

In the new neighborhood where he moves to, he meets by chance with the handsome Lee SuHo (in a cliché but comical way) and they become friends because of their common taste for horror comics; They had already met in a dramatic event (when she almost made the worst mistake of her life but he saves her), Jugyeong suffering from myopia does not recognize him hahaha, which makes the relationship of the two becomes entangled and he ends up being the only one in his school who will know the secret of his face without makeup, making very funny and funny situations occur.

In her new school she will face the challenge of making new friends because of her personality (although her appearance thanks to makeup makes things easier for her), and her popularity will expose her to events involving former classmates, being constantly persecuted for her fear of being rejected and bullied like in her old school.

But, as nothing is hidden between heaven and earth.... How will she face her fears, nightmares, and overcome our Lim Jugyeong?

Peeeroo, como entre el cielo y la tierra nada queda oculto... ¿Cómo enfrentará a sus temores, pesadillas, y se superará nuestra Lim Jugyeong?

The k-drama has 16 chapters in which we will see the development of the life of the protagonist Lim Jugyeong, how she overcomes her obstacles in moments of pressure, clichés but very funny, how she discovers her talent and her vocation, and how she reconciles with her family; the drama is fresh, aesthetic and everything develops naturally, the chemistry between the actors is nice, it caught me and I enjoyed it.

El k-drama cuenta con 16 capítulos en el que veremos el desarrollo de la vida de la protagonista Lim Jugyeong, como supera sus obstáculos en momentos de presión, clichés pero muy divertidas, como descubre su talento y su vocación, y como se reconcilia con su familia; el drama es fresco, estético y todo se desarrolla con naturalidad, la química entre los actores es agradable, a mí me atrapo y la disfrute.

The manwha (webtoon) currently has almost 200 chapters, it is narrated in a different way than the typical girl comic, everything is more funny than romantic or dramatic despite the complicated story, the story flows more relaxed, yes it is cliché but not so much, it is entertaining.

El manwha(webtoon) actualmente tiene casi 200 capítulos, es narrado de una forma distinta al típico comic de chicas, todo es más gracioso que romántico o dramático a pesar de la historia complicada, la historia fluye más relajada, si es cliché pero no tanto, es entretenida.

The K-drama is essentially the same story and plot as the manwha (webtoon), but in the drama many of the situations are different from the manwha in order to give it a development or ending since it has few chapters and the manwha is still on air; Each one has its moments of drama, romance and fun that make the story attractive and engaging; personally I liked the k-drama better😂.

El K-drama en esencia es la misma historia y trama que el manwha (webtoon), pero en el drama muchas de las situaciones son distintas a las del manwha para poder darle un desarrollo o final ya que cuenta con pocos capítulos y el manwha aún sigue en emisión; Cada uno tiene sus momentos de drama, romance y diversión que hacen la historia atractiva y enganchante; en lo personal me gustó más el k-drama 😂.

Opinion!

To begin with, I liked the drama a lot, I laughed a lot and also cried a little, the manwha is also funny, the actors are beautiful and have a good chemistry.
The story has positive messages about accepting your physique and personality, about understanding how you are and overcoming yourself, that it's not bad to use tools like jewelry or makeup to feel a little prettier.

Para empezar el kdrama me gustó mucho, me reí un montón y también lloré un poco, el manwha también es divertido, los actores son guapísimos y tienen una buena quimica.
La historia tiene mensajes positivos sobre aceptar tu físico y personalidad, sobre entender cómo eres y superarte, que no está mal usar herramientas como bisutería o maquillaje para sentirte un poco más linda.

I partly identified with the protagonist Lim Ju-gyeong, I had complexes about my physique that I gradually overcame. When I first started wearing makeup, I was a little embarrassed to wear it, but then I got used to it; when I realized how much more people liked me because of how I looked with makeup, I also started to feel a complex about my face without makeup and I started to feel a little embarrassed to walk around without it. Watching this drama and even crying with all the problems that the protagonist went through, I realized that the important thing is your personality and makeup is only a tool to feel more comfortable as you like, also to express yourself, that "with or without makeup, you are always you".

En parte me sentía identificada con la protagonista Lim Ju-gyeong, tenía complejos sobre mi físico que poco a poco he ido superando. Cuando comencé a usar maquillaje sentía algo de pena de utilizarlo, pero luego me fui acostumbrando a él; Al darme cuenta de cuanto más le gustaba a la gente por cómo me veía maquillada también empecé a sentir un complejo por mi cara sin maquillaje y me empezó a dar un poco de pena andar sin él. Al ver este kdrama e incluso llorar con todos los problemas que paso la protagonista, me di cuenta que lo importante es tu personalidad y el maquillaje solo es una herramienta para sentirte más cómoda según gustes, también para expresarte, que “maquillada o sin maquillaje, siempre eres tú” .
