Back to my favourite movie director and producer funke akindele. This movie released in 2023. She played the role well. This movie is one of the top movies on movie box and netflix when it was released, it's a family drama , suspense and betrayal.

A tribe called Juda is very interesting just as the word implies it shows up a mother of 5 sons from different tribes and this gives us a family where cultural differences and upbringing become a part of the day.

The story revolves around the 5 sons and their mother ,Emeka ,Pere, Shina and Ejiro. The 5 brothers grow up under the same roof raise by the same mother.

Their mother portrayed the role of a dedicated hardworking mother, she dedicated all her life into taking care of her children. It's not easy to raise five children. Each of them had their own problems just like there ethnic groups differ. It filled the movie with a lot of frustrating situations .

The brothers never agreed with each other just like men don't agree with each others everyday but they still loved eachother and had a very strong bond. The plot twist comes when their mother becomes sick and the brothers are been put in a tight corner trying to raise money for their mother's health care.

Their desperation eventually leads them to go into planning a robbery . They never knew that they were walking into danger as they walked into an ongoing robbery in the place they were supposed to rob . This gives the movie a chaotic atmosphere in which the brothers suddenly find themselves.

The movie stands strong because of Jedidah, her character, she is a loving strict and emotional mother. She is not a perfect woman ,she has had her own fair share of life struggles and only wanted a better life for her children.

Her illness changed their family perspective and made the audience to realise that the family has a greater bond than her the greediness on the surface, they deeply cared for eachother and would do anything to save each other.

The five brothers did a wonderful job in executing their roles.There were responsible ones and the irresponsible ones too. Some of their recklessness landed the others in trouble. This there difference create a comic moment for the movie.

The movie enlightens the beauty of Nigerian culture, imagine being able to leave in the same house with 5 different ethnic groups embodied in different bodies and watching them co exist in one African home. The beautiful background,accents and beautiful personalities gives it a unique African family drama.

A tribe called Judah is a very entertaining, emotional movie that shows us a clear picture of complicated, imperfect. It also shows the love and bonds that exist between the family as their mother is the strong bond holding the family together, even. When she wasn't feeling healthy..
