Disconnected Review (ENG/SPA)
Hello internet people, everything ok? Today I want to make a short post about a movie that surprised me quite a lot as it has a very good plot twist so well done that you don't expect it at any moment even with the loose clues in the different scenes. This is Disconnected.
Hola gente de Internet ¿todo bien? Hoy quiero hacer un post breve de una película que me sorprendió bastante ya que tiene un muy buen giro de trama tan bien hecho que no lo esperas en ningún momento, aun con las pistas sueltas que hay en las diferentes escenas. Esto es Desconectada.
The story focuses on June, a girl who does not have a good relationship with her mother, after a trip to Colombia by her mom and her new boyfriend, June gradually begins to enter into despair because the day of return, neither of them returns, which leads June to think that something very bad happened to her mother, so it is in her hands to find out what really happened.
La historia se centra en June, una muchacha que no tiene una buena relación con su madre, a raíz de un viaje de su mamá a Colombia con su nuevo novio, June empieza poco a poco a entrar en desesperación, ya que el día de retorno, ninguno de los dos vuelve, lo que le lleva a pensar a June que algo muy malo le pasó a su mamá, así que está en sus manos descubrir que pasó realmente.
The most remarkable things about the film are two things: the format in which it is shot and the performances. The whole film is seen from a webcam or subjective shots of the characters looking at a computer screen, so it might sound boring to see a film in this format, however the dynamism of the scenes and the good performances compensate for this very well and far from being boring, it becomes very interesting.
Lo más destacable en la película son dos cosas: El formato en el que esta rodada y las actuaciones. Toda la película está vista desde una cámara web o planos subjetivos de los personajes viendo la pantalla de una computadora, dicho así podría sonar aburrido ver una película cuyo formato sea este, sin embargo el dinamismo de las escenas y las buenas actuaciones compensan todo esto muy bien y, lejos de resultar aburrido, se torna muy interesante.
The most important thing about the film and the most "praiseworthy" would be its plot twist (which I won't reveal to avoid spoilers) but without a doubt, although the film doesn't stand out in costumes, cinematography or staging for example, nothing more with what I already mentioned and this is what makes it very good. You don't expect at all what is the reason for the disappearance of the mother or who is responsible, as during the film the girl goes from one side to another discovering clues that at first lead nowhere, but that gradually makes sense until all the pieces fit together, but the first plot twist (because it really has two) is very impressive.
Lo más importante de la película y lo más "alabable" sería su giro de trama (el cual no revelaré para evitar spoilers) pero sin lugar a dudas aunque la película no destaque en vestuario, fotografía o puesta en escena por ejemplo, nada más con lo que ya mencioné y esto se vuelve muy buena. No esperas en lo absoluto cuál es el motivo de la desaparición de la madre ni quien es el responsable, ya que durante la película la chica va de un lado a otro descubriendo pistas que en un principio no llevan a ningún lado, pero que poco a poco gana sentido hasta que todas las piezas encajan, pero el primer giro de trama (porque realmente tiene dos) es muy impresionante.
The film also explores both sides of technology and the internet, on the one hand we have the consequences of relying too much on people online and on the other that technological tools can serve us well to do positive and extraordinary things for our own or someone else's wellbeing (I'll leave it there to avoid spoilers).
La película también explora ambos lados de la tecnología y el internet, por un lado tenemos las consecuencias de confiar demasiado en la gente en línea, y por el otro que las herramientas tecnológicas bien pueden servirnos para hacer cosas positivas y extraordinarias en función del bienestar propio o de alguien más (hasta ahí lo dejo para evitar spoilers)
All in all it's a pretty good film, which you should see at any opportunity, it's quite interesting.
En resumen es un película bastante buena, la cual deberían ver en cualquier oportunidad, es bastante interesante

Vi la primera película donde el padre asiático intenta recuperar a su hija esta segunda película que creo que parece un remake todavía no la he visto pero si tiene una trama similar es bastante buena interesante sobre todo cuando se resuelve el misterio.
Es una peli que viene después y se desarrolla en el mismo universo
