My opinion about Johnny Deep (ENG/SPA)
Hello, Internet people! Is everything alright? Today I want to participate in this community's choice of actor of the week, and we have to talk about Johnny Deep. It's no secret to anyone how much I love this actor, so giving my long and extensive opinion about him in all areas will not only not be difficult but highly enjoyable.
¡Hola, gente de Internet! ¿todo bien? Hoy quiero participar en la elección del actor de la semana de esta comunidad, y tenemos que hablar de Johnny Deep. Para nadie es un secreto lo mucho que amo a este actor, así que dar mi opinión larga y extensa sobre él en todos los ámbitos no solo no será difícil sino que será altamente disfrutable.
Known as the man of a thousand faces, Johnny is a complete and multifaceted actor, capable of portraying a character totally different from the previous one in personality and appearance, which at first glance could seem like different actors, in fact, I have the strong conviction that I could make a whole film with just Johnny playing different characters.
Conocido como el hombre de las mil caras, Johnny es un actor completo y multifacético, capaz de representar un personaje totalmente distinto al anterior en personalidad y apariencia, que a simple vista podrían parecer diferentes actores, de hecho, tengo la fuerte convicción que yo podría hacer toda una película solo con Johnny interpretando diferentes personajes.
The most amazing thing is that he is a natural talent, it is clear that he had to study a lot of acting to polish his staging, but we can notice the talent he has I'm talking about when we look at Edwards the young scissorhands for example, where Johnny was a rookie but this is not noticeable anywhere.
Lo más asombroso es que es un talento natural, está claro que tuvo que estudiar mucho actuación para pulir sus puestas en escena, pero podemos notar el talento del que hablo cuando miramos Edwards, el joven manos de tijera por ejemplo, donde Johnny era un novato pero esto no se nota por ningún lado.
Although for most people, Jack Sparrow is Johhny's biggest reference (and it's understandable since it's a character that he built from scratch and we are clear that no one else could play him) my favourite characters are far away from the iconic Disney character. Although I must admit that despite not being my favourite, he kills me with laughter every time I watch the Pirates of the Caribbean films and to celebrate the fact I'll leave you with a compilation of funny Jack Sparrow moments.
Aunque para la mayoría, Jack Sparrow sea el mayor referente de Johhny (y es entendible ya que es un personaje que él construyó de cero, y estamos claros que nadie más podría interpretar) mis personajes preferidos están bastante lejos del icónico personaje de Disney. Aunque sí debo admitir que pese a no ser mi preferido, me mata de risa cada vez que veo las películas de Piratas del Caribe, y para celebrar el hecho les dejaré un compilado de momentos divertidos de Jack Sparrow.
I think I have quite a long list of my favourite characters but I think the first two would be Gellert Grindelwald and Sweeney Todd.

Although I didn't like Gellert's appearance at first (that's not how it's described in the books), I got used to it and even more so because, for example, the pallor and heterochromia made the character more intimidating and Johnny's execution of this performance was amazing.

For a character we know very little about in the mentions of the Harry Potter books, the development he has in the films is very good and in keeping with the personality that is explored in the books. Johnny went a step further by taking the foundations left by his predecessor (the actor who began to bring Gellert to life) and giving him even more depth, as it is in the second film that we get to see him at his best. Johnny portrays Gellert as a first class sadist, psychopathic, selfish and manipulative, he can intimidate without shouting or torturing and prefers to get his hands dirty as little as possible, not because he is less sadistic, but because such trifles are not worth it and he is only dealing with someone worthy of him. He did a fantastic job.
Para un personaje del que sabemos muy poco en las menciones de los libros de Harry Potter, el desarrollo que tiene en las películas es muy bueno y de acuerdo a la personalidad que se explora someramente en los libros. Johnny fue un paso más allá tomando las bases que dejó su predecesor (el actor que empezó a darle vida a Gellert) y otorgándole más profundidad aún, ya que es en la segunda película cuando podemos observarlo en su esplendor. Johnny representa a Gellert como un sádico de primera, psicópata, egoísta y manipulador, puede intimidar sin gritar, ni torturar y prefiere mancharse las manos lo menos posible, no por ser menos sádico, sino porque esas nimiedades no merecen la pena y solo se enfrenta con alguien digno de si. Hizo un trabajo fantástico.
On the other hand, we have a character who, although we could say that he is "another psychopath", is really a far cry from Gellert or any other character Johnny has played, and I am talking about none other than the sociopathic Sweeney Todd.
Por otro lado tenemos a un personaje que si bien podríamos decir que es "otro psicópata" realmente se aleja demasiado de Gellert, o cualquier otro personaje que haya hecho Johnny, y hablo nada más y nada menos que del sociópata Sweeney Todd.
I love, but I LOVE this character. While the heinous and horrible acts they commit have no justification whatsoever, they do have a reason, and that is that before he was Sweeney Todd, this character was Benjamin Baker.
Amo, pero AMO a este personaje. Si bien los actos atroces y horribles que cometen no tienen justificación alguna, sí que tiene un motivo y es que antes de ser Sweeney Todd, este personaje fue Benjamin Baker
In this film, Johnny practically plays two characters, the fact is that, although they are the same person, Benjamin Baker is a loving father and husband who is famous for being the best barber in town, he is gentle and lovable, however, after being separated from his wife and exiled from the country by Judge Turpin, who is obsessed with his wife, Benjamin becomes Sweeney Todd and returns to London seeking revenge, he goes from being happy, gentle and loving, to an empty shell, depressed, hateful and seemingly apathetic (except for his inordinate love for his daughter whom he wants back) but it is one thing for me to explain Johnny's execution in this film, it is another for you to see it for yourselves.

Además es en esta película donde descubrimos la hermosa voz que tiene Johnny, es la primera vez que cantó en un musical, antes había participado en El Cadáver de la Novia pero ahí no había cantado. Cuando Burton sugirió a Johnny para el papel de Sweeney, el director de la banda sonora tuvo serias dudas, sin embargo, cuando le enviaron la letra de My Friends él la cantó, todo el equipo quedó sorprendido y el director de la banda sonora dijo "¿hay algo que Johnny no pueda hacer?"
Without a doubt, he will always be my favourite actor, apart from being a top professional, having an impressive natural talent and an incredible commitment, Johnny is also characterised by a gentle, loving and pleasant personality, I admire and love him very much.
