The truth is that it's another way (as always) in which a film ruins a game; they just used the title to make money.

they made about $20 million on this film after you factor in marketing costs.. perhaps more once they sold it to streaming. That is likely enough that they will continue doing it. I just hope they learn from their mistakes and improve the dialogue dramatically. It ruins the entire thing.
