CineTV Contest #138 - I met i Carly through my daughter [ENG-ESP]

I didn’t see “i Carly” when it was aired for the first time, because in 2007 I was already an adult and I was very busy working, besides I didn’t have cable (I don’t think), I really don’t remember, but my teenage daughter a couple of years ago caught a liking for watching some old series on a Nickelodeon channel where they aired them all day long and they repeated the chapters many times, but for her it didn’t matter because she was enchanted with all those youngsters, in series like Victorious, San and Cat, Henry Danger and of course “i Carly” among many others that I don’t remember the names now.

Aha! You will say that my daughter liked the series and not me, but when the TV is on all day long with repeated programming it is logical that the rest of the family also begins to feel interest in what is presented there, exactly that happened, I know all the chapters until the end because not only I watched it because my daughter liked it but I also liked the dynamics even though sometimes I felt sad for these kids.

No ví “i Carly” cuando se transmitió por primera vez, pues en el 2007 ya era una adulta y estaba muy ocupada trabajando, además no tenía cable (creo), la verdad no lo recuerdo, pero mi hija adolescente hace un par de años agarro una afición por ver series un poco viejas en un canal de Nickelodeon dónde las transmitían durante todo el día y repetían los capítulos muchas veces, pero para ella no importaba porque estaba encantada con todos esos jóvenes, en series como Victorious, San y Cat, Henry Danger y por su puesto i Carly, dentro de otras muchas más que ahora no recuerdo los nombres.

Aja! Dirás que la serie le gustaba a mi hija y no a mí, pero cuando el televisor pasa todo el día encendido con una programación repetida es lógico que el resto de la familia también empiece a sentir interés por lo que ahí se presenta, exactamente eso pasó, me conozco todos los capítulos hasta el final porque no solo la veía porque a mí hija le gustaba sino que también me gustaba la dinámica aunque en ocasiones sentía tristeza por estos chicos.

Sadness. Yes, Carly is a teenager who lives with an older brother who instead of taking care of her, everything is the opposite because she is more mature and focused than Spencer. Of course, he supports her and is there for her in times of sadness, there is no doubt about that. In Freddie’s case, he lives with an overprotective mother who doesn’t know her son and thinks he’s a baby (I know many like that). The only good thing she had was her friendship with Carly and Freddie, with whom she ended up falling in love.

What I appreciate, is that at a time when the boom of social networks was just beginning, they made a live show for all teenagers, although not all the ideas were the most appropriate, they were very creative. It is an inspiration for many young people like them who want to venture into the digital world, it is not just to say it, it is to work it, because in each episode you could see how they planned the program.

Ya va! Tristeza. Si, Carly es una adolescente que vive con un hermano mayor que en vez de cuidarla a ella, todo es al contrario pues ella es más madura y centrada que Spencer. Claro, que la apoya y está para ella en los momentos de tristeza, de eso no hay duda. En el caso de Freddie vive con una madre sobreprotectora que no conoce a su hijo y piensa que es un bebé (conozco a muchas así). Para terminar con Sam pues en toda la serie se habló muy mal de su familia y de ella misma, lo único bueno que tenía era su amistad con Carly y Freddie de quién terminó enamorada.

Lo que rescato, es que en una época donde apenas estaba empezando el bum de las redes sociales ellos hicieran un programa en vivo para todos los adolescentes, aunque no todas las ideas fueran las más adecuadas si fueron muy creativas. Es de inspiración para muchos muchachos que como ellos quieren incursionar en el mundo digital, no es solo decirlo, es trabajarlo, porque en cada episodio se veía como planificaban el programa.

This is a funny comedy that I thought it was ideal to bring to the contest because there are not many sitcoms that I have seen and I like this one because despite having some things that in my opinion were out of place, in the case of the characters of Sam and Spencer, which then brought consequences in the mental health of Jannette McCurdy who plays Sam, is a series that marked a generation and others who later saw it as in the case of my daughter who was born in 2012 when the series ended, it also has many funny scenes and dialogues, as well as a value of friendship deeply rooted in the characters. I must say that the last seasons released since the year 2021, where Carly's life as an adult is presented, I have not seen them so I do not know what became of the life of each of the characters, the last thing I knew is that Carly went to live with her dad and Sam with Cat.

This has been my participation in the Cine TV Contest #138 -Favorite Comedy Sitcom as well as being my first publication in this community which I had wanted to join a long time ago and finally I’m here.

Esta es una comedia divertida que me pareció ideal para traer al concurso porque no son muchas las sitcom que haya visto y está me gusta porque a pesar de contar con algunas cosas que en mi opinión estaban fuera del lugar, en el caso de los personajes de Sam y Spencer, que luego trajo consecuencias en la salud mental de Jannette McCurdy quien interpreta a Sam, es una serie que marcó una generación y otras que más adelante la vieron como en el caso de mi hija que nació en el año en 2012 fecha en que se dió por terminada la serie, además tiene muchas escenas y diálogos divertidos, así como con un valor de la amistad muy arraigado en los personajes. Debo decir que las últimas temporadas estrenadas desde el año 2021, donde se presenta la vida de Carly como adulta no las he visto por lo que no se que fue de la vida de cada uno de los personajes, lo último que supe es que Carly se fue a vivir con su papá y Sam con Cat.

Está ha sido mi participación en el Cine TV Contest #138 -Favorite Comedy Sitcom además de ser mi primera publicación en esta comunidad a la que había tenido ganas de incorporarme hace tiempo y por fin estoy aquí.
